Well I ordered by phone yesterday to pick up today St. Patrick's Day a corned beef, cabbage, carrot, and potato dinner. Went to pick up they said they knew nothing about order, had to wait 30 minutes for them to fix. Got home opened up container to see 2 dry as a board potatoes, very thin shaved corn beef dry, 1 small cabbage wedge dry!!! And carrots were burnt and cut into small chunks,!! No juice from anything. $18.95 wasted !! . Good thing I cooked Sunday dinner! I had a taste for the corned beef, I had last year and it was really good. Never again,! Shame on you serving food not fit for a dog!!! The cook needs to be relieved of their duties!!! I'm very pissed off!!!! You lost a customer! 😡

This was the first time eating food from Jeff Chrystal catering for my wife and I. We received our dinners a few minutes ahead of time and all hot food items were hot. Everything was delicious. (A little pricey). I will definitely be back.

The Lobster Night was an absolutely horrible experience. Cold air blowing in a tent set up in a parking lot. I was served scallops that did not have one dtop of moisture. They had been prepared in advance and just placed on the plate when the order came through. I had to send my first plate back because it wasn’t even remotely warm. The risotto was cold and soupy, not “creamy”. I regretted having made the reservation as soon as I realized we were going to be eating in a the parking lot if a good club and not actually inside or an actual building. NEVER AGAIN!

I had hosted a party and had all of the food catered by Jeffrey and his team. The food was amazing. Everyone was blown away about how good it all was. I will continue to recommend Jeffrey Chrystal Catering to anyone that needs catering. Thank you all so much.

I did not have direct involvement or interaction with the catering service. But I'm here to give an honest review of the food.

I've been to a few weddings that they've catered. In Youngstown, for some reason, people seem to think Crystal's is decent food. I vehemently disagree. The food is incredibly bland and overpriced. The flavor profile is meant for an old person who can't handle spice. It's your typical "I use butter for flavoring" kind of meal. The world has expanded their palate, and this food is stuck in the 1950's. So, just don't do it.

Jeff Chrystal catered an event for us at Mill Creek Park and the food was wonderful! We received so many compliments on the meal - lamb, turkey, rice pilaf, salads, bread, veg, and pasta was all excellent. The staff was helpful and did well setting up and then cleaning up after the party. Thanks for a great event!
