Our stay at The Charlotte was charming, quiet, and comfortable. The house is located a block away from Troy's historic downtown and its location offers walking access to the river, historic courthouse, and cute bars and shops. The Gold Room was spacious and the king-size bed was very comfy. Bathroom accommodations were great too - bathrobes, plenty of towels, and cute artisan soaps were provided. Terri was an incredible host and served us delicious breakfast and coffee each morning. She was also very accommodating with check-in. We would absolutely stay again!

The Charlotte Bed and Breakfast is such a local treasure! The historic home is beautifully done with each room being lovely and perfect for a stay! The owners are absolutely wonderful people who find joy in what they do. Another bonus is how close it is to downtown Troy, it's walking distance making it easy to explore the town! If you're looking for a place to stay in Troy, stay here!

We had a lovely stay at the Charlotte. The hostesses are very nice. We stayed for 4 breakfasts and each one was different and delicious.
The house was clean, and expectations for covid were clear.
The Charlotte is also located within walking distance of downtown Troy, which is a nice area to walk with various shops.

Our one-night stay in the Lavender Room was very nice. Loraine and Terry were extremely kind and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was tasty, and they had no problem whatsoever providing plenty of vegetarian options for us. The house is beautiful and very well kept. If we go back to Troy, I'm sure we'll stay there again.

I'm actually writing my review on behalf of my sales team, all of whom stayed at The Charlotte Bed and Breakfast. They begged us to make this the company "hotel" because it's so amazing! Everyone loves the location, right downtown, within walking distance of everything! Even if they're not planning on shopping or eating, taking a walk downtown to the levy is a nice stroll that takes in our lovely town.

Each person independently commented that the hosts were gracious and accommodating and that they loved the decor. If you didn't know this B&B was here, you'd probably miss it, but even if you're a local, this is a fantastic getaway. Book it now! 🙂

My husband and I were so happy we choose The Charlotte. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and could not have been any happier. It was clean, roomy and comfortable in The Hideaway Suite. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented. Terri and Lorrainei are top notch hosts! We highly recommend The Charlotte and look forward to returning.

Loraine and Terri are the type of people you rarely meet in life. They welcome you into their historic home, full of love, with open arms. The rooms are all unique and have such character. Our favorite is the Red Room. The bed is AMAZING and the bathroom has the best shower set up with local handmade soap + shampoo (ps the towels are so large that you feel like a Queen (or King)) The reading room on the first floor has a book for everyone but I personally just like to sit in there and relax with conversation and tea. Our most recent stay, the house was decorated for the Holidays, and every room had a different holiday feel. I loved the Christmas decorations and it was SO FUN to explore the common areas to check them all out. SO many details and little things to see and find. Truly magical.

The best part of your stay will be the breakfast! The Quiche is seriously something from another world along with the steel cut oatmeal bar!! I dream of these two items at least once a week. Seriously, you will never have a better breakfast at a Bed and Breakfast...my partner told me not to even try to compete with the quiche. HA! The other component is that Loraine and Terri will give you as much space as you desire on your stay once they greet you upon arrival with their cheerful smiles and gracious personalities. I personally LOVE them sitting and sharing breakfast and invite them do so. They are SO very interesting and have such interesting stories of families, careers and interests. They make my partner and I feel like true friends and we wish we could go more often and will keep going whenever we have time for a few hour drive and overnight getaway.
Loraine and Terri will also be able to let you know where to eat and what to do in the area and surrounding towns. We truly ADORE them and their beautiful home and count down the days until we are able to visit again.

Our stay here was beyond excellent!! We stayed during the Christmas season and there were so many beautiful Christmas trees and decorations. You literally felt like you were walking onto the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Would definitely recommend!! And the breakfast is fantastic. We really enjoyed the gigantic blueberry muffins!
