I have stayed at the Victorian Rose on multiple occasions and will continue to return. The owners are very genuine, the place is clean and well kept up. Each time I return you can see the work put forth in restoration of this facility. And the breakfast is awesome!

My husband and I were planning on staying tonight because I read great reviews on the property. We arrived, and the owner’s daughter came and showed us around for about 2 minutes. She shared with us the only way her parents have this place is because of insurance money from a previous home fire. She was rude and it was obvious we were a nuisance to her. We went to our bedroom and it felt like 100 degrees, smelled like cigarette smoke and dampness in the air. The room was filthy and the bathroom was so dirty and gross that we did not even use the restroom while we were there. We went to our favorite winery and went back to the house to grab our belongings to head home after a 2 hour drive. Once we got there, I met the owner, and her husband, they were very strange and odd, and the lady was showing me her fish and this little pond that she had made and the coral fish were dead. She was talking to them and feeding them like they were alive. Her two cats that she describes on her website basically have no hair. They’re getting eaten up alive with some type of maggots and they have bite marks of some type of a wild animal attack on the poor cats. I pointed out the severity of the cats health to her and she said that they are currently being seen by her vet and for me not to worry. She explained over the phone that the parlor was under construction, but to come to find out the parlor was filled from floor to ceiling with junk , she’s a hoarder. The kitchen that she makes your breakfast in again, from floor to ceiling has junk and she puts her dogs in that kitchen when she’s gone. The house is disgusting and should be destroyed. I will contact the health and food department and animal welfare to make sure that those animals are cared for and that other people will not book and stay at her place. What she advertises on her website is false. And because of all of this, I am out $120 but to me, it was all worth it to find out that , these animals need help and they need rescued ASAP.

Beautiful historic "Victorian" house in nice quiet small town that is not too far from the interstate, or Ohio's Amish country. The rooms are nice comfortable and clean. With wonderful host Sandy and Corky. It really is a beautiful place to get away...... You will be blessed!!

We loved staying here! We were greeted as soon as we came to the door and instantly felt like family. We were able to learn rich history through the tour of the house, and were given fresh backed banana bread muffins and delicious iced tea to tie us over until dinner. Our private nook area was stocked with coffee, snacks and books. Dinner was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was friendly and we were able to refresh and recharge. We will definitely be back!

i loved staying here! my boyfriend and i were taking the car back to new york from oregon. we wanted to stay at an authentic antique victorian style place. those are so hard to find! we tried a place but they were disorganized and we couldn’t book a room so we tried this place. i was greeted with a warm hello and got a room immediately!
when we got in about 2 hours later, the hostess took such good care of us. she gave us her homemade gluten free muffins (which she later let us take all of home!!) and tea. she told us about the history of the house a bit and asked us what we’d like for breakfast in the morning. knowing we drove all night, she let us go to bed after showing us where everything was.
when we woke up, there was such a beautiful breakfast! it was very romantic, with candlelight and a server. the portions were huge and everything was so delicious! you have GOT to try her delicious egg frittatas! it was so sweet and i enjoyed the yummy meal in such a pretty dining room.
i could not word how great her family is. they are truly kind people.

i have never received such amazing and personalized service, even at a 5 star hotel. i wish everyone i knew could stay at this beautiful, family owned bed and breakfast. they deserve it.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely B&B when we attended my husband’s nearby HS reunion a while back. The owners were gracious and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing.

We stayed at 1873 Victorian Rose not sure how the situation would work out as my husband has dementia and Alzheimer's and our visually impaired son.
Sandy and Corky were very accommodating for us and everything was great. My husband didn't have any issues with behavior or anything else as this took him back in time. As for my son he was made to feel at home.
