I love Catalina Ice cream but just not today, I was craving for banana split and decided to drive there before they close today, we saw there was a party going on, the cashier was open for walk in customers, the girl took my order and I noticed they were distracted while preparing for my order, she handed to me the banana split without the banana in it and I told her, she said sorry and she sliced the banana and just put it on top that all the cherry sauce and ice cream were overflowing. The cherry on top even fell but she just tried to avoid not looking at me after giving it, the whip cream was falling too we left with the overflowing ice cream and sauce on our hands, it was very messy. We just surround it with tissue paper to prevent from spilling more in the car. Just not happy with it as she was not even feeling sorrry at all.

I tried to understand that the employees are teenagers but I just hope they get trained with the proper SOP.

Cool retro style decor and music makes you feel like you are traveling back in time.
Strawberry and deep dish apple pie flavor ice cream was super delicious, scoops are huge....really enjoyed this place and will be back...

We had a great little trip here. We are out not locals we were just driving around the town to look around. We stopped here to enjoy some ice cream, which we got, it is Hershey’s hard ice cream which is great and we noticed they also sold beignets which we ended up getting an order then another order. While the ice cream was good, the beignets were so delicious, melt in your mouth. If time permits driving down I10 again we would stop again. Service was great, it was a fun family atmosphere. There is a steak and seafood restaurant on the other side of the building that smelled amazing, we will try that next trip.

We stopped in after looking for an ice cream place while on vacation. I will say it is a must stop place. It's a cute little place with and old time feel. The ice cream was amazing. I got a scoop of banana pudding and it tasted just like the real think. My son got a milk shake and the other got 2 scoops. All was amazing and worth the little drive to try.

A gem of the bayou! Super friendly staff and wonderful ice cream! Very cool retro 50's/60's vibe! The best experience would be to catch dinner around back at the Catalina Restaurant and then walk around to have dessert at the ice cream shop! The bayou needs places like this. I highly recommend it and advise you to go and support it. Local businesses like this are what keep little towns alive.

We absolutely love this place. Every year our church youth group comes and they have the best service with a smile. The ice cream treats are all the best.
