I dined in at Southern Roost today (3/21) for the very first time! The service was exceptional! I think it’s really neat they add a buttery soft croissant with every meal! And their lemonade, I can tell it’s freshly squeezed! Will be returning!

We tried Southern Roost for the first time today and it was extremely good. I had the Dirty Bird sandwich and it was soooo flavorful (pimento cheese, bacon jam, fried pickles, southwest ranch). I loved it but be prepared to get messy! My wife had the chicken finger meal. There was nothing wrong with the meal, she just doesn’t prefer any sweet tastes on her food and the croissants are slightly sweet, as well as the coleslaw. The chicken and potato wedges were great. We went through the drive through so I cannot comment on the atmosphere but the employee at the window was friendly. We will be back.

Southern Roost in Kingsland is the perfect spot for a warm, welcoming Southern dining experience. From the moment you walk in, it feels like home—cozy, charming, and full of that classic Southern hospitality.

The staff are super friendly and attentive, making sure you’re taken care of from start to finish. The place is also spotless, which adds to the overall great experience.

The food is absolutely delicious! Their hand-breaded chicken, seasoned wedges, and house-made sides are full of flavor.

If you're in the area, Southern Roost is definitely worth a visit!

Classic Chicken sandwich, potato wedges & Chocolate shake. Sandwich is good, dipped it in the Rooster sauce which also is good. Dipped potato wedges in the dill sauce which was wonderful! The Chocolate shake tastes like actual milk - delicious! We went thru the drive thru & she immediately noticed my pups & offered pup cups! GOOD JOB! We will be returning.

I had the grilled chicken tenders, steak fries and coleslaw with some sort of croissant. Every item had a very different taste and did not blend well together. The chicken was heavily seasoned to the point where it was almost blackened. The fries had a completely different taste that didn’t pair well with the chicken. The coleslaw was phoned in and the sticky sweet bread didn’t match with what was going on in the meal at all. My wife had the fried tenders and said they were flavorless except for the overwhelming amounts of black pepper. I tried four different sauces and they are pretty much the same except for some mustard and sriracha added to two of them. In a town with four chicken restaurants, Zaxbys, Magoos, chik-fla and Southern Roost the competition for the consumers dollar is high and you are going to have to do better to compete. On a positive note, some of the best sweet tea I’ve had. So for now it’s back to Zaxbys.

Went through the drive thru. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Awesome cheese curds and the croissants were delicious. So we're the potato wedges. The fried chicken tenders was waaayyyy too salty for me though. I think the salt levels definitely need to be dialed down some because it's over bearing. I would need a large drink next time to handle that level of salt. The buffalo sauce is very tasty and I could take it or leave it on the rooster sauce. My wife couldn't finish her meal because it was so salty. But hopefully this part is improved in the future so I can try again. Also, there was no napkins added to the bag at all and no fork for the coleslaw. Disappointed because I truly did want a better experience.

Southern Roost is hands down my favorite spot for crispy, juicy chicken and the friendliest service around! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family, and the staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

Our favorites .... The Snack with 3 tenders, wedges, and a side of grape salad—absolute perfection! My 11 year old can't get enough of the "half moon fries" 😂, he didn't know they were called potato wedges and the custom name has stuck in our house. My husband gets the dirty bird every time & my 13 year old loves nuggets.

It's a family favorite for sure!

Today was our first visit as we had errands in the area. We would definitely recommend this place. We had a good portion of the menu. Fried chicken tenders, cheese curds, chicken nuggets, grilled chicken tenders, grape salad, strawberry milkshake, & macadamia nut cookie, etc. The staff was amazing- very attentive, welcoming, & friendly- Vicki & her staff checked on us often 🙂 They do honor military discount. Of all the food our faves were the grilled chicken, Georgia Hot Honey sauce, the cookie, & the crossiants. The rest of the food was good (nuggets were dry in some places) but those faves were top notch! I would also recommend getting some extra crossiants for later & signing up for rewards 🙂
