We have been here multiple times and it has always been great. We decided to go tonight and it either went way down hill, or they were having a bad night. Our food was not that great. We ordered the Deviled Crab appetizer and cheese stick appetizer to start. My wife ordered sirloin with crab leg surf and turf and I ordered the Black and Blue Burger with fries for our entrees. The deviled crab was good and the fries were good…the rest not so much. Our server was amazing and I wish I could remember her name. This visit really should have earned 3 stars but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt in hopes it was just an “off” night since we’ve had much better visits, I’ll give 4. Definitely wish we would have saved the $100 and stay home though. We will however go back and hopefully have the experience we are used to having.

I stopped in on Saturday night for dinner while in town for a camping trip. They were busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server, Kay L, was very sweet and attentive. The food was so much better than I could have hoped for! I got a ribeye steak and added fried shrimp for "surf & turf," and my friend got a sirloin steak. Everything came out quickly and was cooked exactly as we ordered. The fried shrimp were very big, and the breading and seasoning were literally perfect. The steak was one of the best I've ever had, too. The garlic herb butter on it was delicious, and I didn't even need a steak knife. It was so tender that I cut it with the butter knife. I will definitely be back to eat once more before we go home from our trip. I live over 5 hours away and would make the drive again just to eat here. Seriously.

Great spot, locals love! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly. And the ambiance was a comfortable, small-town, local feel.

This restaurant is right along the water front in historic downtown St. Mary's, so you have the view of the water, if you want to sit outside on their patio.

We sat inside, in the AC, since it was a very hot day. We were greeted and waited about 2 minutes to be seated, as the restaurant was starting to pick up for lunch.

I ordered a sweet tea, fried fish & chips lunch special, with a side of Mac n cheese. The fish was a large portion and fried to perfection. The batter was crispy, and the fish fresh and flaky. I loved it. The Mac n cheese was good, but could be a bit more creamy in my opinion. My mom ordered the fried oysters with sweet potato fries, and she loved it!

They also have burgers and sandwiches on their menu, along with pastas and salads. I would definitely return here for yummy seafood lunch.

We were quickly welcomed and sat at a window table. Roe S was our server and was very attentive and made sure we knew the daily specials. The food (steak & seafood) was cooked perfectly, kudos to the kitchen staff. Thank you all for a great experience from 2 out of state visitors from Seattle. Y'all were amazing.

If i could give the food a 6, I would have. Our waitress, Dana, was fun, personable and knowledgeable. Dalton ran our food out to us: the best shrimp &grits and phenominal blackened shrimp.

Our dining experience at the Local Dockside restaurant in St. Marys, GA, was nothing short of exceptional. Although it was a bit warm we sat outside in the shade since we had our dog with us under one of the fans.

We started with the Seared Ahi Tuna, perfectly complemented by wasabi and soy sauce. The flavors were spot-on and incredibly satisfying. The steamed mussels in garlic butter sauce were equally amazing—each bite was a delight.

We also tried the crab stuffed mushrooms, which were great. However, we would highly recommend that the chef omit the balsamic glaze in the future, as it slightly overshadowed the delightful flavors of the dish.

To top off the meal, I enjoyed one of their signature drinks, the Georgia Peach 75, made with gin, peach slurry, and champagne. It was refreshing and perfectly balanced, a definite must-try.

Overall, the Local Dockside restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and creative drinks. Highly recommended!
