I'm not sure when this Microtel was "refreshed" but it's a lipstick job. If we were staying more then one night, I would have asked to be moved. We arrived around 9:30pm and we were too tired to move from a long day of travel. The rug was full of stains, burn mark on desk, water damage on counter under TV, bathroom shower had hair in the drain and on the wall. Mold on the ceiling and rusty hinges. Outlets & phones weren't updated, old dingy yellowed fixtures. Stain on a pillowcase. Check in host was pleasant. Morning host was not at the desk, unsure if se was cleaning the breakfast area. If same person, not very friendly. Breakfast was ok. Eggs tasted like powered eggs. Plenty of continental breakfast items though. No complaints on breakfast at the price point I paid. We will not book this location again. Based on reviews, seems rooms are a hit or miss.

This place was great and I suggest this hotel to anyone who comes. The service desk people at night were friendly and accommodating, as we had a problem with our key card and they helped us immediately. The room itself was overall clean, the only problem being the desk chair having a few smudges and our elderly client complained about a strong smell (nothing bad of course! She's just really sensitive to chemical smells). Location of the hotel was really nice as there were gas stations and restaurants nearby to get food and other materials we needed. The breakfast in the morning was good as well, a nice variety of items especially for a hotel. Loved the sausage gravy and biscuits!

We got a late start on our trip from Florida to Maine so by 7:30pm we decided to stop and chose microtel kingsland. Check in was very easy especially because you can do most of it in advance and the person checking us in was kind and efficient. There are chocolate chip cookies and a nacho bar in the evening. Parking was easy and the spaces are nice and wide. Our room was large, the bathroom could have been cleaner with debris on the floor. The rooms are dated and need work. Bedfing is not high quality. TV channel choices was abysmal. Walls are pretty thin and I heard slamming doors most of the night. There was also a smoke alarm blinking in our room all night. Breakfast in the morning was very basic, (breads, cereal, instant eggs, pancakes sausage patties) but good. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well. There was no one at the desk during check out, you just drop your keys in a basket. We paid $132 for the room and there was no more vacancy. This is fine in a pinch but next time I will try something different.

The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. The location is right off the interstate. There are a variety of restaurants and gas stations nearby. It is an easy off and easy on to the highway. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever seen, with a good variety and quality. I will definitely stay here again.

I just wanted to say thank you to the staff. When I stayed there, my family was going through a very tough time. The staff could not have more kind and understanding. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and give me what little comfort could be had during this time. The hotel was clean, quiet, and just what I needed all the way around. Again, thank you so very much for all of the wonderful staff who were so very gracious and kind. Highly recommended

Great value for the price!

This hotel was exactly what we needed for the night. I loved that the rooms came with a couch. Most hotel rooms only have a chair but this was a great way for me to enjoy watching TV while my son laid down in the bed.

There’s also a sink in the middle of the room that can be used for food prep. The TV had Netflix and on-demand movies as well as a few other apps.
It included a desk and more seating by the window.

I loved the modern feel of the room and how they made such a great use of the small space.

There was a couple small things that could use a little touching up, but nothing major enough for me to mention.

There were lots of towels and the shower was nice and warm.

The star of the show would have to be the front desk attendant, Bradley. When I arrived and told him my last name he immediately knew my first name. He was the most polite, kind and professional clerk that I have ever worked with. And we stay at a lot of hotels. We stayed at four already in the last week.

His customer service knocked it out of the park.
For this reason we will be coming back to this location next time we are in town.

The staff was great, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. It was close to everything. I’d stay again next time I come back. The front receptionist Michelle was a delight to talk to. She was always friendly and willing to help. Always friendly with a smile.

Decided to stay in this hotel because the reviews weren’t too bad. Someone recently said this hotel was renovated, but I believe they forgot some of the rooms. The young man at the desk said my cars had declined twice when it came out of the bank already….I had to show him my bank account. Thank God we always only put the exact amount the hotels are gonna take out because this guy tried to charge us twice. Then, he sent us to a room that already had people in it!!!! We tried opening the door and hear a knock from inside the room. The young man said he was very sorry but that room was supposed to be vacant. Someone in clearly not doing their job. He then gives us a different room and checks to make sure there is no one in there first. Upon entering the room, it had a weird smell and I proceeded to check everything. The toilet was absolutely disgusting and there was a strong smell of piss! The bathtub was dirty and there was something very slippery in the bottom of the tub and I almost slipped and fell. The microwave was nasty and smelled horrible. Overall, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this room. If this is the way they “clean” their rooms, I would hate to see what their own house looks like. DISGUSTING!!
