The suite was awesome, with a partial water view of the harbor. The train tracks were not near as bad as some folks said. The occasional trains never did wake us up.

Great complimentary breakfast every morning. Fantastic staff.

In fact I had a small incident happen to my car on property, and Keith at the front desk and his team helped me take care of it before our journey home. Would definitely recommend! Walking distance to everything downtown.

Comfortable room Fairly quiet. Some hallway noise. Breakfast is good with several choices. Eggs, French toast, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, waffle maker. Noe much fruit choices. Still better than most. Good location to explore downtown. Near the marina but not the beach. Although the whole island is so small it is not that far. It was cold in the hallways in January but manageable. Small pool on the second floor. Small gym with Okay equipment but only one elliptical and three treadmills and 1 seated bike. Some weights and mats. Better than most hotels. Overall pretty good

I travel with my work and I always stay at this hotel. The front desk is always accommodating and very kind. The hotel is always decorated and everyone is always so friendly. The rooms are very clean, the housekeeping staff is always so accommodating for any special requests. I stopped in for an evening Bite and they had cheesecake πŸ™‚ it was delicious. The breakfast was very plentiful and had many different options and the staff that was working in the kitchen was very friendly. They asked to make sure everything was just perfect. Fernandina is such a cute town that this hotel is the perfect location. I call it the hidden gem πŸ™‚ I tried a new restaurant called the patio, which was within walking distance and it was amazing.

We came in for our son’s wedding. I booked a block of 15 rooms and booked 3 personally. Positives:
The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and the suites were nice
Negatives:
There is a train just outside of the hotel that goes by all day and night. It’s horn goes off for what seems like an eternity each time. During the three days were there they came by multiple times between 5 AM and 7 AM.
On Saturday, despite the fact the hotel knew there were three weddings, they turned the water off for an hour without notice. My guests (15 rooms of guests) could not shower before the wedding. When we asked if they could delay the shutoff, they told us there was not a manager on duty and they were not willing to interrupt a manager during the weekend. They shared that this was planned maintenance and they were not going to do anything about it. Worst customer service of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel located in Central historic District within walking distance of all shopping, restaurants, and beautiful sites right on the harbor. It is also only a 3 mile drive to the beach. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are large and clean and the breakfast is wonderful. I would highly recommend as this is our third time staying at this location and each time has been wonderful.

We had reservations here for the "Dickens on Centre Street" event this year. It is located right in the heart of all the festivities. The suite we had was very well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast area was very roomy which was a great thing! Most of the times, this area in other Hampton Inns is so crowded and no place to sit. The breakfast choices were the same fare most hotels offer, but it was fresh and well stocked. Our only complaint....they were working on the building and the equipment was blocking most of the parking area access and then we found out the exit street would be blocked with the 'domes' used in the Dickens festivities! It was a little tricky with the parking, otherwise was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and efficient. Check in/out was quick. Plan to take advantage of this location again.

Anniversary Trip was ruined. Nasty hotel!! We haven’t been to this hotel in 10yrs. It was very nice 10yrs ago not now. We stayed in the Princess Suite. The first day there we couldn't find parking. They had construction going on outside the hotel and a wedding. While we were waiting to unload our stuff I over heard 2 older man talking about how crowded the place was. I checked in at the desk and start to ask where we suppose to park at the man at the desk ignored me. The other lady at the desk started telling me but all the parking she was telling us about was taken. We had to park in the public parking which isn't on the hotel property. We finally got our stuff on elevator the floors on the elevator were disgusting. Btw the hotel has dogs around in the lobby and elevators. So it smelled like dog in the elevator. A older lady was in the elevator with me complaining how disgusting the place had gotten. There was trash piled right when u got off elevator on the 3rd floor. We made it to our room. Room was ok but the balcony was nasty with dirty tiles and u walk out on the balcony to a wall no water or boats to look at. A Wall! The dishwasher had stuff that was pour down it and no ice bag in the bucket for ice. The towels and sheets had a musty odor. I wasn't happy! I requested new towels and sheets and they still smelled bad. The shower drain doesn't drain very well so u would be standing in water during ur shower. We had planned on staying 3 nights but on the 2nd night I couldn't take it no more. I woke up around midnight to our room smelling like dog poop. It was coming out of the vents. Btw these rooms and hallways have carpet in them so if dogs poop or pee on the floor it is there to stay. Very Disgusting! I went down stairs and told the manager we are checking out early I told him about the dog poop smell and the manager said sorry I will refund your money for tonight and nothing else. We wont be back to this hotel. How much they charge to stay here they can do better.

Great little hotel in a very convenient location...Walking distance to all the shops, restaurants & taverns...Especially impressed with Tiesha in the breakfast room...Non stop attention to buffet and dining area...Smiled and chatted with everyone while maintaining a focus on her work...Yes, it was a busy morning, a bus load of seniors right at the start, followed by a steady stream of families...Refreshing to see her work her magic in that room! Thank you!
