It doesn't get much better than a delicious lunch, superb service, and southern hospitality at this locally owned eatery. The hours of operation begin at 9 am and continue until they run out of food, which is usually between 2 pm & 2:30 pm. Mr. Pete offers a great selection of meals that consists of pork, catfish, chicken wings, fried chicken, oxtails, pig feet, and more. My family and I enjoyed every crumb and the friendly conversation. We felt like part of their family and not patrons. Oh, don't forget to sign the wall if you visit.

Stopped here for lunch…omg stop here pork was amazing! Portion huge taste was amazing price reasonable. Hard to eat it all in one meal! They have us pound cake that was yummie as well. If ur in the area stop here and eat! They smoke every day and the food was great…never had anything this good in Michigan !

Tha BBQ Pit is a hidden gem worth seeking out. We had driven by many times and finally decided to check it out. Venturing inside, we found ample clean indoor seating that wasn't easily visible from the street. The staff warmly welcomed us and were happy to answer any questions.
I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, and both were delicious. The pork was perfectly smoked, tender and full of flavor. The generous portion of fries were hot, crispy and tasty. For the quality of the food and friendly service, Tha BBQ Pit is worth going a bit out of your way to visit. This local spot should be on every BBQ lover's radar.

I’ve had bbq all across the south and this might be one of the best bbq spots I’ve ever had. A must eat! Service is great also.

My family and I stopped here today on our way home from PCB. We were starving! We ordered 3 BBQ sandwiches and fries. I went to the restroom and came back and the owner (I think) was handing my husband a salmon patty on a bun with some mustard. He doesn't eat seafood so I gladly ate it for him! It was amazing!! Best salmon patty I've ever had! Our food was ready really quick! He threw in another salmon patty and roll for free and before we could get out the door he was chasing us down to give us some of the most amazing pound cake I've ever eaten! His hospitality is top notch!! I wish we didn't live 2.5 hours away or we would be frequent diners! Please stop at Tha BBQ Pit! You will not regret it!

Some amazing food here for sure. We found this BBQ place (Tha BBQ Pit) on the way back from Panama City Beach. This restaurant, located in a rural area outside Luverne, AL. is a hidden gem for sure.
From the road, it may not look like much but it is certainly worth it after you stop. Very friendly staff, clean dine in area - very welcoming. You know you are close to some real BBQ when you see the stack of fresh hickory next to the smoke shed.
We tried the pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket and ribs - - WoW - amazing BBQ y'all.
Ribs: Hickory smoked, fall off the bone ribs. (No sauce) = Amazing!
The beef brisket was enough alone to make you hurt yourself - absolutely delicious!
Certainly recommend this place for authentic Southern BBQ. Worth the stop!
THA BBQ PIT = 5 * STARS

Stopped here traveling through and it was excellent! The people there are so nice and the food was amazing! We had to stop on the way back and get more. The ribs, brisket sandwich, and okra was great. And probably the best jalapeño poppers I've ever had!

Authentic southern BBQ off Highway 331 between Brantley and Luverne. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. The fries were super hot, fresh and crisp. The sandwich had a heaping helping of pork smothered in tangy, sweet BBQ sauce. You order at the outside window and have the option to eat inside or outside. We decided to enjoy the nice, spacious, inside air conditioned dining area. There were no other customers indoors at noon on a Friday. When you finish your meal you can write your name on the wall. I enjoyed my first trip to Tha BBQ Pit. I want to come back again to try the ribs and other menu options. I recommend this restaurant.
