Delicious!! Courteous and attentive service. The goyza steamed dumplings were tender and flavorful. My entree was hibachi beef and it was perfectly seasoned and tender. Hubby had black pepper tuna as an appetizer and loved it. He also loved the calamari. I asked for no mushrooms, as I have an allergy and it wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend!

The food was very delicious overall. I started out with the sushi 🍣 sampler appetizer. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the wasabi and pickled ginger were a nice accompaniment to this dish. For my entreé, I had ribeye & shrimp hibachi with fried rice and steamed vegetables. Other dishes included steak & shrimp hibachi, fried shrimp, fried vegetables with fried rice, and the final fish was teriyaki salmon with fried rice and steamed vegetables.

Crazy Tomo was my absolute favorite one, really delicious. Not much to say beyond that, just highly recommend and will order this again.

I really enjoyed the New York roll, to me it had a subtle sweetness to it that went great with a light dip of soy sauce.

Hollywood was great. This was my first time trying any type of cooked/hot sushi, but I enjoyed the cream cheese inside this fried roll, would definitely order this again.

Effingham roll was ok. The pieces were packed with a lot of ingredients then deep fried so they were quite large and had to be eaten in 2 bites. Again, not used to cooked sushi, and never had Jalapeno in sushi. The flavor profile of it really threw me off. If you like cooked sushi and jalapenos I think you'd enjoy this. It is well made, just not my personal preference.

Will be back to try other sushi rolls. 🙂

I’ve been a fan of sushi for 25 years. I’ve been to every sushi restaurant from surrounding areas of Savannah to Charleston and have even made sushi at home. TOMO is the best. I recommend ordering Salmon roe and putting it on the maki, sushi, or sashimi. I love that their wasabi is hot, unlike other places. The house sake is really good. And I’m a fan of the imported beers like Tsing Tao, Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo. They also have a nice selection of other entrees but I come for the sushi.

Our family moved back to the area in 2019 and for all 6 years since- this is still our favorite local restaurant! The service is always wonderful. The renovation to the inside makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The food, well I can honestly tell you, I've never ordered a bad dish whether it's the hibatchi plates, bento box, or sushi. We love and would highly recommend the Chanel #5, Out of Control, Spicy girl, and Crazy Tomo!

Jolin was our server and she was patient and respectful. I was having some issues figuring out what to order (sushi roll) and she jumped in with a recommendation, and I'm so glad I went with it. Definitely not something I'd typically order, but it was wonderful!
