Check in was a little bit before midnight. Stayed with my small dog, (I was well aware of the fee/s for her), aware of the actual fee/s for the hotel. Total came out to $165, so I paid that in cash. No receipt was given. Couldn't hardly understand the woman when she spoke but that's, not a big deal..Anyways, it was quiet, and I slept good but when I had to check out, I tried speaking to the male housekeeper that was in the next room over about coming back to gather the 2 bags( that I couldn't carry at the time, along with my purse and my dog that was right outside my door ) He then proceeds to shut the bathroom door, (basically in my face while I was asking him the question), ignoring the fact that I was even speaking to him, which was very rude. Well after loading my belongings, I pulled around and went inside to retrieve my phone charger, (that was accidentally left in the room) and proceeded to check out. I was informed then by another worker, when I asked her about it that I wouldn't be receiving anything back.. Really?. Here's why my review is low on stars...
Ive been told by others that when they paid in cash they had to put deposit as well on the room and which the following morning their deposit was refunded. So why all of a sudden that no longer exist I totally understand not getting the pet fees, or anything else returned but why did they decide to keep my cash deposit ( stolen items, room damages, etc ..). I felt like that was outrageous to pay so much just to not receive anything back. More than likely I won't be a returning guest.

Second time visiting Vidalia and staying at this location. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were wonderful especially having to extend my stay twice. Breakfast was plentiful and surprised to have eggs in this time of crazy egg prices. We will definitely use Clarion Pointe on return visits.

Rooms were very clean check in was very easy and the lady was very friendly to us and very helpful. The bathroom needs a little work it didn't seem as clean as could be but we were happy with it and being pet friendly was a big plus for us. Only bad thing we found is water in shower is brown not good at all. Breakfast was really good

DO NOT STAY HERE. They can’t check me out until a manager arrives and won’t provide a receipt until a manager arrives. That is really telling me there’s a scam going on. What will they charge me for once I leave without a receipt? Will I have to fight to get some charge they decided to bill me for after I left? I’ll let my organization know to put your hotel on our internal ban list. Now with that being said the room itself had some issues. Upon arriving there was a substance on the bathroom floor that appeared to be blood or feces. And for some reason a ton of boogers wiped on the wall adjacent to the toilet. If I can see that within 30 seconds of entering the room your maids should be able to see it. The tv has a couple hundred channels…good luck trying to find some that work. Internet quality reminds me of 1998. The hallways have an obvious cannabis smell throughout. And it appears that they allow people to use bricks to keep blocking doors open which is a bit sketchy and makes me wonder if they are allowing friends to come in without having a booked room. Perhaps where the cannabis smell is coming from. And you have an indoor pool “closed for the season”. The point of an indoor pool is there are no seasons. Just say you don’t want to clean it. Just not worth the price when there are better options in town for a similar price. And the irony is by the time I finished writing this review they were able to check me out and get me a receipt. Which really does make me wonder if that’s their scam? They “can’t check you out early” and then a week later there’s a random fee but you’re already home and they make it nearly impossible to refute the charge. So my advice is if stay there do not leave until you have a receipt in hand. Stand at the counter and wait for as long as possible. Something seems off enough that I’ll also have to write a complaint to the Choice Hotels corporate office.

The first thing that hits you in this hotel is an intense smell of mold, mildew, and assorted smoke. This place destroyed my sinuses. The floors are very obviously dirty and most things are covered in a thick layer of dust. Some of the furniture was broken as well as the hair dryer. The toilet in our room was backed up upon arrival and though we had two visits from a very lovely housekeeper early in our stay, it continued not to flush shortly after. We had to use the guest bathroom downstairs overnight and the next day while waiting on housekeeping to come back. After calling twice the next day and noticing the housekeeping team go home we decided to just switch rooms. The staff were very polite about the whole situation and quite friendly in general. However, our new room was somehow dirtier than the last with even more visible mold. I'd like to attribute the dirtiness to this place being understaffed, but nearly every time I had to go down to use the restroom or get breakfast there were more staff than guests hanging out in the breakfast area in their uniforms. The TV only worked half the day. Although the pool area is pretty outdated and dingy, the hot tub was nice.

Stayed for three weeks due to temporary loss of home following Hurricane Helene. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The room more than accommodated us. The bathroom and bed linen were clean and tidy. That said there was a persistent smell in the room, but we got used to it. If I had to guess likely the air dragged via window AC from outside in a room facing the garbage bin in the back lot was probably to blame. We bought an air freshener and made do. The majority of our stay was quiet and peaceful. There was in house laundry that proved very useful. The occasional barking dog or crying kid could be heard if the TV wasn’t on. Overall a pleasant stay and experience.

Positive: There was an employee .... worked front desk and kitchen area.....terrific......Some of the other employees at front desk were sleeping...literally on the job.... Negative: The upstair king suite room.....was nice.......rooms on the bottom floor not as clean and noisy...Vidalia have been taken over by construction workers....so the hotel pricing is very high for the value....you can stay at 4 star hotel in Savannah for less

It did smell like weed in the hallway, but it didn't bother me. My room was clean, and it was very quiet.. I just didn't care for the stairs cause they have no elevators, but I'll stay here again! Hopefully on the first floor next time lol 😆 I got bad knees🙏🏾
