The hotel was great. Owners are awesome. Beds are so comfortable. Love the showers and tubs. Big enough to sit in and take a bath. Water pressure is so good. Everyone is so friendly. You also can't hear your neighbors. Walls are very well insulated. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay again!!! Also in walking distance of everything.

We made a reservation for 11/9/2024 for one night, using Booking.com.
The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, and he placed us in room 201.
And that's were it falls apart.
There were no smoking signs on most, if not all room doors. However, our room had the stench of cigarette smoke and mildew.
The mattress was covered in stains, as were the pillows. There were also stains on the chair. Nail clippings and small paper trash all over the floor. Spackle all over the walls. Very questionable substances on the floor of the bath tub. The shower curtain was covered in mold and; though it was tied up to the curtain rod, there were 7 hairs visible on the curtain.
My husband went back to the front desk and spoke with Jase. Explained the state of the room and he directed us to contact Booking.com, he approved a full refund of the room.
My best advice is, READ THE DARN REVIEWS!!! That's what my husband DIDN'T do.
I really hope they can turn the quality of the place around, because it has so much potential! And the front desk staff was SUPER nice and understanding.

I don’t understand why people leave negative reviews about how the place looks. I guess there are some people that expect all their bookings to be perfect with no flaws. Yes the place was dated but the heat worked, the shower was hot and there was a breakfast which is free compared to the limited selections in the area. All the restaurants in town that serve breakfast is very expensive and will set you back almost $80 for a family of 4. The people running it is very nice and is always on duty and you don’t have to walk a mile to the front desk. It’s also the only hotel in Helen that has a gas station right next to it. It was quiet and quant and the price was right. I would totally use this place again.

rented this place when I didn't have anywhere else to stay and its actually really, really nice despite the low price! there is a $100 deposit up front though, make sure to have that prepared! free of insects, mold, and the only real wear was a burnt out light bulb. its right in the heart of helen so its close to businesses and whatnot as well. definitely would stay here again 🙂

Walkways were extremely full (unsure if they were renovating). There was constant noise from furniture moving.

There was an incident (guests were disorderly and physically fighting, loud screaming for two+ hours) in the room next to us that I attempted to call the front desk about. Even though the owners live at the property, I was forced to call 911 myself and have officers come handle it. When I called the front desk beforehand (main line and night phone), I was hung up three times in a row. While the guests' actions were NOT the fault of the owners, their handling of the situation was. Police had to return THREE times with the third time resulting in multiple arrests. I listened to this party yelling outside of our own door for two hours before resorting to calling 911.

Overall, don't recommend unfortunately. Staff was nice but not very useful. Rooms are dated but clean. I would honestly just spend the few extra dollars at a nicer hotel if you're staying more than one night.

We were supposed to stay at this place for two nights. When we arrived the rooms weren't ready, and we were checking in at around 7:00pm, and we're dirty. Then we were moved to other rooms and those were worst. They smelled horrible. The smell of dust and cigarettes were unbearable. We couldn't stayed here and on top of that they only refunded 1 night. Supposedly because that is the policies. These policies should only be if the guests don't want to stay for other reasons but not because the rooms are not properly clean. Don't go here is horrible even though they are at reasonable price.

Terrible place, very old fixtures. The heater in the room was not working properly. The faucet leaked, and the tub was so old that the paint was coming off. Tweekers! Ran by people from India.

You get what you pay for , cheaper isn't better in this case trust this. The best parts about the inn is the guy at the front desk is very nice and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. The bad starts everywhere else such as the nasty carpet, fridge with mold or whatever inside, no cleaning of room the 5 days we were there
