We had dinner at this lovely dining room. The food and drinks were amazing! We had the beef short ribs, and the chicken, all made to perfection. We loved our excellent fresh meals. We stayed at The Maison Blanche Cottage and it was a very pleasant experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was clean. The decor was beautiful and top-notch, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The farm animals were a bonus, they were adorable!

However, there were a few things that could have been better. The cabin had a wood-burning fireplace, but they only provided a couple of small logs, barely enough for a fire. When we called to ask for more, we were told they do not provide additional wood. If that’s the case, why not install gas logs instead?

Also, essential supplies were lacking. They did not provide trash bags, paper towels, enough toilet paper, laundry detergent, or even coffee. We had to call just to get more trash bags and a single roll of paper towel. With the size of the kitchen, you would expect it to be well-equipped, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. The bathrooms could also use significant updates and should be slightly bigger, probably why they don’t post photos of them online.

As food lovers, we were extremely disappointed with the food at Julep Kitchen. It was overpriced for the quality provided. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, which gave us high expectations, but the food did not match the ambiance. They really need to rethink the menu or hire a new chef because, as it stands, it’s a letdown. If you’re looking for a great meal, head to the restaurants in Highlands, they are 10x better.

Overall, our stay was lovely and relaxing. The farm animals added a charming touch, but I would come back only for the accommodations and avoid the food.

Absolutely great experience. Love how you have your own cottage set in a beautiful farm atmosphere. The layout of our cottage was great, plenty of room for the kids and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful providing us with extra ice/towels.
Great location will definitely come back in the fall.

The property and cottages are absolutely beautiful. However the guest relations, overall hospitality and restaurant leave so much to be desired — all weekend my friends and I kept saying “this place has soo much potential!” But unfortunately, for the price and what their website promises, it really under delivers. Check out our $24 supposedly 14” pizza… lol

We’ve been coming to Highlands & Cashiers for years now and Julep Farms is the spot to go for some food and top notch cocktails while the kids run around the farm. They have hills to roll down, mini horses and cows to feed. We met Rick the owner and he took the kids and ourselves on a tour and showed us all the baby ducks, the new calf and all the dogs and animals on the farm. He was tending to all the pumpkins and plants and dropped everything to make sure we had a great time.

Even though Hurricane Helene ripped through the area, all the local business would love for you to come and have your business. They are all open and ready for season.

Went to dinner there. Ordered the ribeye. I don’t send back food. (toughed it out) The server was very nice and attentive but that was not a ribeye steak. At best a sirloin that was tough, no marbling that a ribeye would have. Dry as a bone, ordered medium rare. Very disappointing to say the least. I would not go back for dinner ever. I hear the brunch is good. Gift shop is fun.

Fall get away at julep Farms. Our first stay here. While the cottage was great I found the staff and amenities to be more in line with a motel 8. We were given 6 coffee pods for a 3 night stay , 2 dingy towels, and 1 roll of toilet paper for over $400 per night. When I checked with them about more coffee I was told I’d be better off going to get more at the dollar general. The staff was kind of snobby and we won’t be back . The cottage are close to a busy highway and lots of road noise as well.

This place is just a magnificent spot with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop to beautiful cottages, a top notch restaurant, and farm where you can cut your own fresh flowers, walk the pristine grounds, and, oh the boutique! My favorite part! From hip to resort wear they have it all. The price point is excellent, the clothing is beautiful and the owner is so helpful and friendly. I just had to make sure my husband was nowhere near me when I cashed out. What a wonderful experience it was. If you are ever in the area I encourage you to stop by to stay, or have a great lunch or dinner and just take in the beauty of this place. It's truly a gem!!!!
