Nice hotel overall. The views and setting was really nice. We had a great meal at Oak. The only downside is our room was very musty, it had a smell that we couldn't get off ourselves or our clothes even after getting home and washing them. They had an air purifier in the room but it didn't help.

Even on a rainy day, this quickly became a favorite spot of ours that we’ll return to over and over again. Cannot say enough good things. The room was so charming and comfortable and had such thoughtful touches like umbrellas and a garment steamer. The restaurant is a MUST try while you’re here. You could stay here and not leave once and be as happy as could be.

The Skyline Lodge staff were amazing and genuinely kind this weekend! I completely messed up our reservation, but they were able to fix it and we still got to stay 2 nights! The mountain views on the right side of the lodge are beautiful! Oak Steakhouse adjoining Skyline is absolutely delicious. We ate there both nights, the staff were amazing and so kind. So nice to eat dinner & be able to walk back to your room! We will definitely be back!

My husband & I stayed at Skyline Lodge for a date weekend. We loved how quiet and secluded the area is. We pre-ordered a bottle of wine and charcuterie for our room for arrival and it was great! The little extra personal touches and the heated bathroom floor made our stay very enjoyable. The Oak steakhouse is exceptional from its crafted cocktails, gourmet menu and amazing staff. They definitely made our stay even better. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I just spent our anniversary weekend in Highlands and after extensive research, settled on Skyline Lodge. The location is nice and secluded from downtown Highlands, which is about a 10 minute drive. The facilities are easy on the eye with its mid-century modern design. During our stay, I couldn’t figure out why this hotel is listed as 4-star. The reception room is very small and really only useful for a quick check-in/out. The only food/restaurant they have on the premises is Oak Steakhouse which was very good but only open for dinner and weekend brunch (the brunch prices were very steep) . So if you are looking for breakfast, you won’t find it on site except for a little pastry shelf in the reception.

The room we stayed in was cozy and the heated floors were a great touch, but that’s pretty much all. The bathroom was tiny and the hot water took forever to kick on. There was also an unpleasant stain on the carpet in our room.

Again, not a bad place to stay by any means but just doesn’t justify the “4-star” price tag considering the lack of amenities and food options available. Not sure if I would plan to stay here if we choose to visit Highlands again.

We wanted to try this hotel after stumbling on it after its revitalization. It’s great that this architecture has been preserved but the interior of the rooms have been well used already. Carpet was dingy. Mattress was lumpy. Sink was incredibly slow draining and they said they would fix it tomorrow (when we were gone already). Might be a better stay in the summer but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

We had a relaxing few days at Skyline Lodge. Love that The Oak is on property for a convenient high end dinner. The staff were all very personable. The property is older but has made the most of the building. We had everything we needed. Welcome gift in honor of our celebration was a thoughtful touch.

I had high hopes for this location. Unfortunately our stay was no where near satisfactory! They claim to be a 4 star hotel, but they are NOT! Besides heated floors in the bathroom there were no room extras. We did not even have a microwave. We had to change rooms after realizing the 1st room had a broken TV and internet issues. The location is beautiful area with lovely views. That will be the hilight of your stay. There's no breakfast unless you'd like to purchase a $5-$7 pastry. There was no gym, game room, or pool/hot tub area. Like the website suggests. They stock your room with merchandise for sale at high prices. I can't say much about the restaurant. It's said to be one of best in the area. So we made a reservation as soon as we checked in. We arrived 8 min early. Was told by the hostess our table was ready and to wait in the lounge area. We'd be seated in just a moment. 25min later we were still waiting. While the hostess sat other parties who'd arrived after us! The bar had a nice wine selection and drink options. But plan to spend around 30 for two drinks. We were so irritated by treatment in the restaurant we left! And went to a local pub which had some very good food and service. I would strongly suggest you choose another hotel option. This place is nothing but disappointing! And the so called nightlife is nothing but a lit courtyard area!
