My fiancé and I recently spent the weekend at The Park on Main in Highlands, NC and had an exceptional experience. We had our dog "in tow" and knew we would have some limitations on where we could stay. This quaint boutique hotel and their staff made our experience wonderful. Ana and Victoria, the property managers and our gracious hostesses, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their welcoming attitude and hospitality was top notch, even accommodating our pet with a bed & treats. I had the absolutle pleasure of spending a few days at The Park on Main and was delighted with my experience. The staff here couldn't have been more welcoming. The location is also perfect; it’s so convenient to just step outside and be right in the mix of a real-life Hallmark movie town! But the real star treatment was for my pup, Polar Bear. The hotel went out of its way to make him feel at home, providing special pet amenities that made our stay even more special. It's not often you find a place that loves your pet as much as you do! While the pet-friendliness is what stood out to me this trip, I'd return here without question even with a human travel companion. Thanks for such a nice trip! Looking forward to my next stay already!

This is the place to bring your dog. The entire hotel revolves around dogs, from dog beds in the room, to dog themed welcome mats. The hotel is conveniently located to all the best shops and restaurants. As the name suggests, it’s right on Main Street.

Extraordinary hotel and staff! Everyone is so friendly- Victoria and Ana went above and beyond. They set out a beautiful wine service with crystal and an ice bucket in front of the fire for our Aunt's 90th BD! Loved that they help adopt out dogs from the local humane society- we even took Buster and Cedar for a walk since we didn't have our pups with us. The rooms are really clean and well-appointed- including comfy dog beds! Breakfast was just what we needed before hiking and the Bascom. What a unique place. Kudos to the owner/designer of this beautiful hotel!

The staff at Park on Main are magnificent! This was our first time leaving our dog alone in a new place for multiple hours. We asked when we checked in if someone would be able to check on our dog while we were gone…|Not only did they say absolutely they went above and beyond and took our dog out for an evening stroll…took pictures and texted us an update!! Ms Victoria is the best!! |All the amenities for pets are so sweet! They really do make it an enjoyable experience for pets! Cannot wait to go back!

This is a wonderful, beautifully clean inn in downtown Highlands, NC. In the aftermath of hurricane Helene we were on our 5th day without power and the Park on Main kindly gave us a reduced rate and allowed us to stay day to day until our power was restored. I'm sure those of us who are pet owners have been subjected to less than stellar pet accommodations but this inn is equal to any non-pet establishments I've stayed in. It is meticulously clean and provides all the amenities for a very comfortable stay (large walk in shower, robes, coffee maker, refrigerator, separate living area, sitting area on balcony and much more). And, the dogs get amenities too including a comfy bed and dog bowls. We can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff; they actually cheered for us when we got the news the power was back on. I will definitely be recommending the Park on Main to all visitors to the area.

What an amazing boutique hotel. It truly deserves its excellent rating on TA. It is a beautiful hotel with a classy dog theme throughout and the rooms were just lovely. Dog beds, dog blankets, bowls, doggie goodie bags on check in and a constant supply of dog treats in the lobby. Mr. Pickles dog park is a short five minute stroll from the hotel. As we were travelling with an old basset we requested a ground floor room which we were allocated facing the side street. Rooms open to a courtyard with pretty seating areas and landscaping. |We reserved a one bedroom king which was perfect- comfy bed, marble type bathroom and a living area. Humans also are offered coffee, tea and cookies throughout the day, and there is a fridge in the lobby stocked with complimentary water, juice, milk etc. A light continental breakfast hits the spot - bagels, cream cheese, |pastries and pre prepared breakfast sandwiches etc. |The staff really make this hotel special. They are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. I absolutely love that they foster a shelter dog at the hotel who has spent far too much time at the local humane society . Not only does this provide a respite from kennel life but fingers crossed a furever home will be found. The current foster, Bandit, is a beautiful, friendly dog who hopefully will find his permanent family soon. |Finally, I must say that this hotel is spotlessly clean. There is not one whiff of a doggie smell anywhere - they are meticulous in their cleaning. Whether you are travelling with a pet or not this is the place to stay in Highlands. Our basset hound and coonhound are ready for a return visit!

Outstanding experience at The Park On Main! From check in to the time we left, the staff and overall setting of the hotel were top notch! It’s right down town, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The care they provided to our dogs truly made our time one to remember. They gave us a doggy care package at check in, and the room had everything that you would need for yourself and pup. Victoria went above and beyond to ensure we had the most amazing vacation. The hotel is very fortunate to have such an outstanding associate. I cannot rave enough about this hotel! Highly recommend, especially if you want to share the experience with your dogs.
