First time visitors to Clayton and picked Manrique’s w/ highest review ratings. If this is the best Mexican food in Clayton, you may want to pass. We started with “guacamole” that was mostly tomato, onion, cilantro and a possibly a generous 5% avocado with something else creamy. Tacos were bland and salsa is canned.

I ordered a steak taco here and the steak was FANTASTIC! The food tasted good and fresh. This is a solid choice for a local restaurant. Also the prices are excellent and the portions are big. I got just one taco for lunch because I wasn’t too hungry, I was expecting just a small portion but it was a big solid taco. My brother got a supreme burrito and it was MASSIVE. Good spot!

Excellent and polite waitstaff. These nachos are almost too beautiful to eat! They are so good! Update: 5 months later, 2nd photo, consistently the best. 9MAR25, still the best!

It was my first time here and it was so delicious. The service was great and the food came out fast. I had to come back 2 days later and I got the tacos with Rice and cheese on top. Definitely will come back again.

The food was good but lacks true authentic flavor.
The chips are from a bag and the cheese dip had zero flavor.
The salsa for the tacos was very good and had a little spice to it.
The tacos were ok but over stuffed with meat taking away from the other ingredients. The taco shells area store bought but taste ok.
Great location with a good looking interior. Make your own tortilla and add some flavor to dominate the local food options.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 is because there was a loud lady in the restaurant. The entire place could hear her scream but the staff chose not to do anything about it. We were there for an hour so but the entire time she talked out loud. The staff was otherwise very friendly. The food was even better!!! I’d highly recommend this to anyone in that area.

Good Mexican, not overloaded with cheese, refried beans are the best! Ordered lunch with my daughter and two takeouts dinners for husband and I, ate supper for two nights off these!!

Best quesadilla I have ever eaten. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The diced tomato and onion, along with the spinach I added made it that much better! And despite being slammed, the service was top notch. Great people, great food. Highly recommend!
