We visit Clayton Café regularly and are always excited to try any new items they add to the menu! There’s honestly nothing we haven’t loved, which is why we keep coming back. The best part? They treat you like family. Whether you're there for breakfast or lunch, there's always something delicious to satisfy your cravings. The service perfectly matches the charm of this beautiful mountain town. Today, we had the All-Star Breakfast and Classic Benedict, so yummy! We’re definitely customers for life!

This little local restaurant was the best meal we had in Clayton GA! The food was delicious and service was fantastic! They close at 3 so make sure to get there early! The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere for being a crowded restaurant!

My wife and I love the Clayton Cafe. We had not been there for the Sunday brunch before. The service and food were both great. We got there about 30 minutes before closing and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

A non-local visitor for many years now and there's a reason we keep coming back when we visit our mountain oasis! They reopened after renovations in the summer and we are impressed with the reno and reconfiguring, the way they revamped the menu while keeping some delicious staples. This is a poppin place, so getting here before peak breakfast and lunch hours is advisable if you don't want to wait. Regardless, we always have great servers! We went during brunch on the weekend, which now has a slightly different menu.

The food is always delicious and the portion sizes are substantial. I had a chicken biscuit, sausage gravy, grits, home fries, and several bites from my mom's plate. You won't be disappointed with anything you order from here!

Update: November 2024
Went during the week for breakfast, as I try to hit this spot up when in town, got to bring someone to try the restaurant for first time and we both loved the Kitchen Sink bowl, it was so filling and leftovers were plenty! They really throw everything in the bowl from the kitchen and it was darn good, would absolutely order again! The bacon was good, pricey as bacon is. The grits are my only room for improvement, as their texture seems off and cheese not always melted when ordering the cheese grits. Other than that, you will likely enjoy anything you get!

Very quaint and homey vibe! The fried green tomato app with the cheddar grits and red sauce set the tone for some delicious brunch! We had the chicken pot pot, of a generous portion and the perfect fried chicken biscuit with sausage gravy which came with southern home fries and some tropical fruit to cleanse your pallet.

Took our group of Seniors from our church there for lunch. They were very busy, but they made an area for our 13 folks to eat. Very nice atmosphere right there on main street. Every person that interacted with us was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We ordered salads, the chicken pot pie, country fried steak, and cheesecake. Everything was top notch. I ordered the trio salad. I was skeptical but gave it a try. It was amazing. The prices seemed high, but they were in line with the area and the portions. We will be back. I recommend giving it a try.
