This Hotel was fine. Not great, but fine.

I would even stay here again, but my expectations would be measured.

Let me explain what I mean.

In a great hotel, there are those little extras…the things that help a hotel stand out. It is those tangibles and intangible things that were missing.

While I would give it a hotel 3 star, it’s the many little things that kept it from really reaching something special. Each of these are minor, but they add up.

No microwave, older and smaller screen TV, rip in desk chair, sticky spots in the refurbished wood floor…and the one thing that was actually an annoyance; a broken elevator. With only one elevator working waiting for rides could take 5 minutes.

As a Hilton Diamond member I am used to lounge or a dollar credit. There was no lounge and if you did eat/drink at the Nest (good food btw) you had to pay there and take your receipt to the front desk to get credit. Again, not a major inconvenience, but one that added to the overall stay.

What was good? While the room was indeed small, it was quaint and had a charming 180 degree view of the River. Being in an historic room was cool. Location was perfect for walking all over the historic district. The shower was very comfortable. The best things were the bed and AC unit. My wife and I slept great because the mattress, sheets, comforter and pillows were soft, clean and cozy.

The split unit AC worked great to quickly cool the room in the evening and warm it in the morning.

This hotel is close to being something special and with a bit more attention to detail could be.

When I received a text from staff asking me how my stay was going I explained that our instant coffee pot looked dirty. They solved my issue, cleaning out the pot, but also letting me get hot water from the lobby coffee machine (for our tea). This was helpful and caring service.

Don’t be afraid to stay here, but don’t expect the same quality you would get from a traditional Hilton. Do expect a unique room and view.

Great location. Very comfortable. The Nest restaurant is on the 6th floor with an outdoor patio overlooking the river. The meals were enjoyable as well as sized and priced right. You can exit the hotel on the lower level directly to the riverfront or on the lobby level to Bay St. Quite convenient.

Sadly, this hotel is NOT up to Hilton standards. After complaining to management about poor service at the front desk and restaurant (not owned by Hilton), the asst manager offered 2500 HH points (about $10). The view (I had a riverfront room) was lovely, but the floor sticky! The front desk staff was unidentifiable (with the exception of Samantha who wore a name tag) and completely useless. No people skills. No welcome! No smiles, so sad. I will not recommend this hotel as there are several other lovely, cleaner hotels on the river (try the Marriott or River Street Inn are both lovely. (PS I was told by other guests who were not HH members they were told by staff to book the cheapest room and Hilton would upgrade them) - not nice when I paid full price for the room. Savannah was amazing, and there are tons of other hotels to pick from.

70,000 points?!?! Nope. We were in town for (1) night and wanted a nice hotel with onsite restaurant to make a travel day a bit easier. Cotton Sail has been on my list for a while so we opted for this over JW, Perry. Upon arrival we noticed the line for the elevator in the lobby, clearly one elevator is inoperable. Based on the "restrooms this way" signage taped to the elevator on the sixth floor there is no expectation of that elevator working anytime soon.

Once we located the stairs we headed down to our room on 3 noticing the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff were both well below Hilton standards, never mind 70,000 point standards. Our "view" was off the trash disposal area on the west side of the building. Homeless guy, trash, strange walkway at window level of the room (super sketchy). Room was ok but very dark.

After a great day out and nice dinner we were hoping to have a glass of wine and a snack up on the roof, what a disappointment. I completely understand Top Deck is your tenant and not your restaurant - walked in at 945pm and told it was last call, all lights on and we could have (1) drink if we hurried up. It's mid March in Savannah mid 60's outside, beautiful night - why is the roof top bar closing?!? Again, I know it is not under your management but that's not great for guests.
We then tried the onsite restaurant and told 15-20 minute wait. We tried to get a seat at the small bar on the right and were advised that was on a wait list too Bar seats? Felt a lot like they were wrapping up for the night and we're sending us to find somewhere else. It was 945 on a Saturday night in Savannah. Guess it was bed time?
We ended up over at Ruth's Chris for glass of wine another off property win.
We had to use the stairs to get up and down to the 6th floor. Why is your stairwell that is clearly regularly accessed by guests so disgustingly filthy. It's nasty, smells, just gross. We had a $30 food / bev credit but skipped your restaurant the following morning because it was so gross on the 6th floor, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like if public areas are that poorly cleaned.
Last item, the lobby coffee is a singular Keurig machine? Not great for departing guests and again the cleanliness of the coffee area/snack shop was awful. Really disappointing for 1 night, glad we were not there for more or I would have moved hotels.

I should be refunded my points. I should have stayed at the Hampton or Indigo. One and done at Cotton Sail, too bad, wanted to love it.

This is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location! Our 3 night stay was immaculate from check in to check out. The front desk staff were so helpful and accommodating. Saundra is an asset to the Hilton corporation and made our stay so much better by seamlessly coordinating our reservation so we could stay in the same room throughout our stay. She also provided great recommendations and helped us find a place to eat that was open on Christmas day. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and overlooked River Street with a balcony to step out on. ||We enjoyed complimentary coffee and tea throughout our stay and also enjoyed breakfasts at The Nest on the top floor. Carmen and Santine were fantastic and the food was great. ||River Street was fun to stay on. We had meals at Coastal 15, The River House (conveniently located on the bottom floor of the hotel), and ate several times at The Cotton Exchange, which was our favorite by far. I highly recommend stopping into the lobby of the Marriott Plant Riverside to see their jaw dropping geological displays of crystals just a short walk down the road. Also recommended: a sightseeing tour on the Georgia Queen Riverboat, a nighttime Ghosts and Gravestones trolley tour, a stroll through the world famous Bonaventure Cemetery, a ride through the live oak alley at Historic Wormsloe, and afternoon tea at Gryphon on the campus of SCAD. ||Samantha was very helpful with our check out process and the valet service was always fast and efficient. I'd also like to mention that all safety protocols one would expect to be followed (like checking IDs before issuing room keys) were followed here and that was appreciated. We would stay here again and certainly plan to on our next trip to Savannah. Thank you so much!

If you stay at this hotel, please be aware that if you’re on the 3rd floor, you are directly below the main lobby. It sounds like people are moving furniture above us. For reference we were in room 311, not sure if it was just the luck of the draw, but I would avoid the 3rd floor. Not sure if anyone has had a similar experience but we will not be back. Location great, staff great, $45 valet parking, awful!! Also no mini fridge which I felt very disappointed.

Location is amazing. Period||We knew it was an old factory but expected some charm. None. Unfortunately we had No view- underside of the building. But we booked with points so you get what you pay for. One of the beds was broken but fortunately maintenance was responsive. One elevator of the 2 was broken- no sign so you found yourself standing there hopefully. Apparently it had been broken a couple days🙄. Just adequate

We paid over $800 for two rooms in this hotel in Match 2025.|We were put on the third floor which is actually a lower level than the lobby. The hallways were dank with low ceilings, the room were dark with a view of a brick wall out the window - they also had low ceilings - you feel like you’re staying in a bunker.|At 9:00 PM my tired daughter and her child had their evening showers and changed into their pajamas after a long day of travel, they realized the toilet didn’t work ( a part of the toilet workings inside the tank were completely broken) so they had to pack up their things and change rooms. |There were no warm apologies or kindness from the night desk. |I was deeply disappointed and ashamed to be a Hilton Honors member. |We will not return.
