Avoid this hotel. The day manager is nasty and does not listen to the customer. He put us in what he said was a just renovated room, complete, | The bathroom ceiling was full of black mold, and nothing renovated in the tiny space. The chest in the bedroom was gutted, nothing inside it. ||Fortunately the day manager left. The night manager was a lovely, helpful gentlemen. He knew our room was not ready for guests, We showed him the mold, etc. He immediately moved us to a room that was more or less completed and cleaner. ||This hotel is the old style where all rooms have their own entrance to outside. No elevator to second level. Temps were cold in early January, and the heating did not keep the room warm enough from the draft from the front door that did not close tightly. |An hour before checkout time, we were locked out of our room. Tried to find someone in the office to ask why, and to fix that, but no one around. Banged on doors, called out in the separate building where the office is located, but no one. I went to my car to find the phone number of the hotel and called, leaving a message that I could not get into the room to get my things to pack the car. I received a return call to come to the office, where this same nasty day manager appeared. He said it was close enough to check out time, so he turned off our key entrance. He did it on purpose.|There was no actual checkout, since there was no oe in the office again. we never received a receipt, because there was no one to ask. He was gone again, so we just left the keys on the counter. We could not be happier to be leaving the place.

Great stay over on our way down south. Front desk staff were amazing! Shout out to Saager (Sunni)! Will see you the end of February..haha! |Big rooms, clean beds, great price for a one bedroom suite. Big hot breakfast. Staff super friendly and willing to help.

Pillows & bed comfortable. Rooms were not clean. Bathroom disgusting. Needs some TLC for sure. Breakfast included terrible and area not clean. Would not stay here again. Not up to the standards of a Quality Inn. Have stayed in much better. Ladies don’t stay here

Positive: Our room was recently renovated and was very nice. Ceiling needed to be redone due to a past water leak from somewhere above first floor. But for the price, this hotel was a real bargain and I would stay there again. Negative: The free breakfast left a lot to be desired.

DO NOT STAY HERE – HEALTH HAZARD & INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!

This hotel is a disgusting, unsanitary nightmare. I found BED BUGS in the room, which is a major health hazard, and a COCKROACH crawling around, proving this place is completely infested.

On top of that:
• The room smelled horrible with mold everywhere.
• Sheets were unchanged between guests—completely unacceptable!
• The bathroom had feces on the wall (yes, really).
• The front desk was closed at night, and when I finally got a hold of someone, they threatened to call the police on me for requesting clean sheets or a new room!
• They only gave me a different room after I recorded proof of the filth.

This place should be shut down for health violations. I have photo and video evidence of everything and will be reporting this to Choice Hotels Corporate, the South Carolina Health Department, and consumer protection agencies.

Avoid this scam of a hotel at all costs! If you value your health, stay far away.
