The location was ideal for walking around Savannah. There was a light breakfast that was very nice, that included a selection of fruit and coffee. It was perfect for our stay. We found it to be very quiet. Most of all, we appreciated Beth and how she welcomed us into Godley Manor and made sure we enjoyed our stay.

Downstairs room with its own access to the garden is great. Breakfast is a bit limited and same each day but thatโ€™s a minor niggle. Rooms are comfortable clean and everyone is friendly. Located nice and centrally for walking the historic district and right near Forsyth park for restful afternoons. We were warned about limited parking but we never had a problem and we stayed Thursday thru Monday. Altogether. A really nice play to stay and enjoy Savannah.

A great value for the area - clean, spacious, and quiet! The Godley Manor was a last minute find and we're so glad we stayed! The pros: fabulous rooms, fluffy towels, kind staff, and an excellent location where you can walk to practically everything. The cons: we really don't have any. It's important to note that the Godley Manor isn't a full Bed & Breakfast. They offer a light self-serve continental, which suited our purposes because dinners in Savannah are very rich and brunch spots are highly rated. We're glad they offered bottled water in the rooms, and there's a trust-based Pantry and Fridge on the Second floor where you can help yourself to teas, coffee, juice, and ssnacks. There's a Kroger's a few blocks away and we kept our own stash of bottled water and dairy-free milk in our room's fridge. Overall book this place!

The manor is lovely. There is no elevator which was no problem since we were on the ground floor. The manor is furnished with antiques and is quite beautiful. We were greeted by Pam and she was extremely helpful with dinner suggestions and other ideas for our time there. Breakfast was modest but fresh and good. Savannah is just lovely and I think a walking tour is a must if you want to understand the history of the city.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in Savannah, and while I wanted to love this bed-and-breakfast, a few issues kept it from a five-star rating.

First, the positives: the home and rooms are beautifully maintained, and the owner takes great care of the property. However, there were some drawbacks. There was an odd smell coming from the plumbing, and the breakfast options were underwhelming for a place advertising itself as a bed-and-breakfast. Additionally, there was no readily available water; while sodas and juices were provided, not everyone drinks those. A water cooler or pitcher would be a great addition.

Parking is also very limited, so I recommend not bringing a car if possible. Overall, I would rate this stay 3 out of 5 stars. The property is beautiful and clean, but the service and amenities did not quite meet expectations for a true bed-and-breakfast experience.

The Godley Manor is a wonderful place to stay. The stately home is just that. Stately. The rooms are well appointed and large! Pam at check in was a joy to talk with. We went to their sister inn the 1790 for drinks and dinner ( you get to free drinks if staying at Godley Manor. The food was soooo good!!! If it was not considered ill mannered I would have licked my plate. And don't get my started on the biscuits!!!! So glad we stayed at Godley Manor!!!

This was a spectacular find and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the center of Savannah. A very well kept Victorian build that truly puts you in the mindset of what was there in the later 1800s. The service was perfect and I truly enjoyed the attention to detail the owners gave. Shockingly it wad incredibly cheap- especially for the surrounding area. You simply won't miss with staying here.
