Room smelled and floors were sticky. Wouldn’t advise walking around in bare feet. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, feel like I need a shower after staying here and definitely not taking one here. Find somewhere else to stay.

Positive: Great location next door to the fairgrounds and the lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: My room was right behind the front desk and there was an event at the fairgrounds so I heard all the people coming back in the hotel late that night. This was not a hotel problem, just picked a busy night to stay there with the event going on next door.

Positive: Location, convenient to downtown and two entrances to room Negative: Poor lighting in bathroom, ceiling had a patch area (maybe a water leak?) and not painted. The continental breakfast was not appetizing, all of the juices were watered down.

We have stayed at the Lodge more than once. It is older but in the past had always been clean and the staff super friendly. We stayed Saturday after attending a concert at Anderson Music Hall and our experience was not the same. In our 1st room I felt something crawling on my foot and it was a roach and a few minutes later my husband pointed to another roach crawling on the bed. We requested another room. In the 2nd room there were no roaches that we saw but I did check the bed to make sure it had a bed bug mattress cover because after seeing roaches I was concerned. My husband used a flashlight and found a spider web between one queen size bed and the wall. I will say the towels and bathroom seemed clean. Right now we won’t be back due to the cleanliness. Also some of the lightbulbs didn’t work so the room was dark.

We were very pleased with our stay at Lake Chatuge Lodge. It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the lake from our balcony was excellent. There was a beautiful night sky, many stars. So relaxing. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is older and could use a face lift. We were there for a concert at the Anderson Music Hall and the location was very good. The lake is beautiful but we did not have a lake view room. Our room smelled musty. Although the hotel wasn’t great, the area is gorgeous.
