Incredible incredible incredible. We didn’t realize we’ve kinda been on a hunt for the best biscuits in Georgia since moving back & I think we may have found them. Fluffy, moist, buttery, crispy edges with great ingredients also. You feel really good after the food which is such a bonus! We can’t wait to return 💫

Super cute little place on the square with large portions and a great atmosphere! I went mid morning on a Friday and I was only 1 of about 5 customers so service was quick and the staff was very attentive. The decor is very thoughtful and well done and they’ve got some great antique books I flipped through while waiting on my sausage, egg, and cheddar biscuit with a side of cheddar grits. All of the food was excellent and mouthwatering. Def will come back when we’re in town!

Stop by for breakfast every time we visit Madison. The quality of their food is consistently good, one of my favs is the Classic Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and wheat toast, yummy stuff! The grits are off the chain as well, especially if you crumble some of the crispy bacon in there too!

The service is excellent and the atmosphere is really good as well. We’ve never left the restaurant without the manager telling us thanks for stopping by and to have a good day, I remember stuff like that, makes a lasting impression.

This place is ok. Not much flavor in the fried green tomato BLT. Fries were good. Breakfast wasn’t too bad. Sausage tasted like a turkey sausage, definitely not pork. Tasted like the sausage was heated up twice. Food was served fast. We will try somewhere else next time we come through. Server was dipping silverware in steaming water (hopefully with a sanitizing mixeture in it) and wiping it off at the bar. I hope they went through a dishwasher first. The iced tea was so watered down, not worth $3.

Stopped by for brunch with my dad. Ate every bite of the french toast I ordered and enjoyed several cups of coffee that our waitress kept full. A cute converted gas station with family photos at the entrance. I loved the funny wallpaper!

This was my first time at Betty Gene's. I understand the menu had been updated recently. The decor is charming and welcoming. The breakfast menu seems small, more lunch items offered. We were seated immediately and placed our order. I sent a text to family at 1104a. At 1139a our food finally arrived and 1 order was wrong. It was sent back, returned and still wrong. 3 times a charm. The eggs were over medium as requested, the 1 sausage link (yes, 1 is all you get in the ala cart order) was dried out and over cooked. It looked like it had been charred. The waffle was just okay. I have had waffles that were light and fluffy. This waffle was dense and tough. The staff was pleasant. Staff seems unorganized and inexperienced. You have 2 people working behind the counters and playing hostess. 1 person was working on eggs, but also making lunch items. 2 other people were not really doing much or miscellaneous cooking. The kitchen area is very small compared to the amount of counter seating, and tables. A larger kitchen/cooking area is needed. It's a shame because it is such a cute place. Almost a 40 minute wait for eggs and a waffle is just unacceptable.

Nice spot with good food and good service. My hubby and I both did the classic breakfast with bacon and sausage. He added a pancake. I added a bowl of grits. Best breakfast I've had in a while. Kudos to the cook, Kia...I think? My niece recommended Betty Gene's and I'm glad I gave it a try!!

Ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and patty melt.
The patty melt was not that good. Small amount of meat and it was drenched with grease on the bottom. Fries were good.
The Cobb salad was great, fresh with lots of different veggies.
They were very busy but the service was fantastic and waitresses very professional.
Great area and scenery nearby.
$42 w/tip, ouch!
