These people at this particular hotel could not have been more heaven sent. My husband and I flew to Georgia to get a car for my daughter the transmission went out in it. We were broke down until the Champs driver (same guy who helped us with the same car in Tampa fl)gave us a ride to this hotel . Another hotel about 20 minutes away had a U-Haul rental available, the owner of the hotel we were at after renting a room gave us a ride to the U-Haul location . The U-Haul place gave us issues but these guys at the Scottish inn were amazing. Super friendly people with kind hearts that are rare in today’s society I’m am. Forever thankful to them. If I ever go back to Georgia I will only be staying with them because of their kindness. Rooms were older but clean and had a very nostalgic feel to them. New owners so thing where not perfect (our tv didn’t work ) but one simple request and 5 min later we were watching Harry Potter. Really love these guys.(please rest assured all previous reviews are from previous owners these guys just bought it a month ago)

DO NOT use this hotel. During a mandatory evacuation due to hurricane Milton October 7 we booked this place while driving. Due to the traffic congestion (10mph on I75) we quickly realized that it was going to be impossible to make it as far as the hotel. We called within 20 min. and they refused to cancel the reservation. Even Expedia could not work with them to remove this charge. This was an emergency situation beyond our control. This owner refuses to discuss these charges with anyone!!

The room smelled of mold so terrible that we couldn’t even stay In there 10 minutes . When I went to ask for another room the front desk guy said that all the rooms were that bad . And proceeded to give me a bogus story that because of a hurricane and people staying there the rooms had been ruined by those people . Such a horrible lie . On top of it all he refused to refund us our money . Go down the road to Perry and stay at La Quinta like we did. Edit:after going today (the next day) a short time ago he gave us back almost all of the cash $120 dollars . And cried because he felt bad . God bless him and his family and I hope they get this place turned around . We pray that they find the Love of Jesus.

WARNING! I made AND PAID for a reservation at this facility on hotels dot com, called the hotel within an hour to confirm reservation (most hotels were booked with power company contractors).
The hotel desk employee called me back! to let me know they DID NOT have my reservation, and had NO rooms available.
I had to book and pay for another hotel (almost 50 miles further away).
Scottish Inn refused to give a refund when hotels dot com submitted the request to them. Claimed I was a 'no show' (Of course I was!) . All of this lying and immoral, borderline illegal activity just to keep a nights booking. Worst experience with a hotel EVER.

I booked this through Expedia, one key, and they had my reservation immediately after a booking. Usually, it’s difficult for a major Hotel to find my name. I was pleased to find out that the hotel is immaculate extremely well taken care of. Some of the rooms might be on the older side, but there are newer buildings they have built. I stayed in the older part which was fine because I wanted to be next to the office anyway. The bathroom was immaculate as well . The innkeeper here takes very good care of the residence. I highly recommend this as a quick stop over on the freeway.

The only reason I gave it a one start is so I can leave a review. DO NOT under any circumstances stay here. My family and I were tired from the long drive to Florida and decided to stay the night. The rooms were atrocious. The rooms smelled like they were sprayed down with chloroform, the second I walked in I didn't feel right. Another disturbing thing was that once we walked out of the car and my kids got out 5 men appeared out of no where infron of the hotel. Nothing felt right!! So we went back to the front desk and told them that we decided to keep on driving. The gave me a "refund receipt" as if they refunded me my money, but they didn't. Again!! Do not stay at this place nothing good will come of it. Stay safe.
