Yesterday I attended an amazing monthly luncheon with the West Cobb Business Association and was pleased t discover that Sandra Cook with Catered Southern Events was doing the catering. Wow. I’m not sure how she does it. Her food is always sooooooo good and her creativity is extraordinary.

The main entrée was a chicken pot pie that was prepared in a rectangular single serve “lunch box” container. Wish I had taken a picture. So as people went through the line, they picked up their entrée, then steamed broccoli, then salad…

When the entrée tray was empty, she simply placed a new tray on top of the empty one. It was brilliant. It allowed for the lines to flow very quickly. Everyone was happy. Wow. What a great event.

Another grand slam! How do these people do it?

I have had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the culinary genius of Sandra Cook at many events around the city. Yesterday was no different. Catered Southern events provided the catering for the monthly luncheon for the Kennesaw Business Association. To be more accurate, they did not provide the food but rather, a dining experience.

The food was outstanding, the presentation was spectacular, and the service was amazing. Thank you, Sandra Cook & team!

Had the pleasure of having Sandra and her team cater our Men’s CLC breakfast with Atlanta hero Sid Bream at NorthMetro Church. The food was delicious and had more than enough for the number we booked. Sandra is very professional and delivers the best catering experience for groups.
I’ve also had a friend use her for his wedding and the food was so good. I highly recommend Sandra and her team for your catering functions.

We never received a response to this email that was sent last May. It was in response to a event that this company catered last April. I thought I left a review but it never went through when I submitted it online. Please see my email below:

"Hi Sandra...I hope you have had a good week. I wanted to follow up with you to make you aware of a few things that came up during the event this past Sunday. Overall I feel that things went well but there were several things that could have been better.

Upon arriving you stated that you had forgotten the coffee which at that point there was nothing I could have done about the situation. You said you would ask the venue if you could use their stuff. Thankfully that was an option for our event however the presentation was not appealing at all. I wanted a coffee bar with all the fixings.

Staff ran out of dessert spoons (a young lady made me aware and said she didn't know what to do about it. I told her to let you know and she said well I used what she gave me.) and other items ran out per feedback from some of our volunteers. T

The presentation of the buffet and beverage stations were super basic and I had asked it to look formal and decorative. This is one of the reasons I chose you and your crew because of the reviews on your presentations.

I specifically asked for a dessert table because the tables were already full of Seder elements which made for a more crowded table with the desserts on the tables. We were also supposed to have extra matza bark on the dessert table for people to have more to choose from.

I've been overseeing events for over 30 years and a few of the catering team's responsibilities are to make sure the stations are well stocked (they should never run out) and they also manage the flow of traffic at the buffet. They do this by making sure that they direct rows and tables when it is their turn to go to the buffet. One of our volunteers asked about this specifically and was told that you didn't know you had to do that. That means that I was taking this on. The beverage stations ran dry and unfortunately so did the food. Your crew was breaking down a buffet line before the last two rows (12 tables) had even gone through the line. Your team was concerned, as then should have been, that you were running out of food. I was on the last row and we ran out of salmon and brisket. Several people did not get meat at all. This is unacceptable especially since 33 people who registered did not even attend. What if they would have attended? I asked for the leftovers and there was half a tray of salad, less than half a tray of sweet potatoes, and 1/4 tray of veggies.

During the clean up we heard your staff commenting about the fact that we were taking the leftovers and that "they didn't even leave us no salad...I guess I'm not going to eat tonight".

I truly appreciate you listening and I hope that this feedback is received as attended.

We had a wedding rehearsal luncheon catered by Sandra and it was absolutely perfect. Everything from the delicious food to the presentation to the ease of working with her made it the best choice I had to make all weekend!

We ordered assorted sandwiches and cupcakes. We had a picnic theme and Sandra put the sandwiches in pretty clear clam shell boxes with a side of fruit and mandarin broccoli salad and she had labeled them with our guests’ names. So fun!!

Sandra and her team were absolutely amazing. She was so kind, generous, and extremely helpful catering for our wedding day! The food was amazing and everyone loved it. She was very accommodating with my husbands peanut allergy and worked with us every step of the way. Highly recommend Sandra and her team for any event you need!!!

We had a wedding planned for October 3rd. We had the caterers booked from February until 3 weeks before the wedding. I was in a panic and contacted Sandra. She sent an invoice the very day I contacted her with great options for the menu. We booked with her and we couldn't have been happier! The food at the reception was amazing! We had so many compliments on how great the food was. I am so grateful for what Sandra and her team provided on such short notice. We will definitely use her services again! We called Catered Southern Events to handle our event for about 50. Sandra did a great job of walking me through the process and making suggestions that fit our needs. We were extremely pleased with the presentation and quality of food. We received tons of compliments about how everything tasted from our guests. I couldn't be happier with the overall experience and I will definitely use the next time we need to cater an event.
