Beautiful outdoor garden wedding weekend in Crane Cottage. Staff couldn’t have been more professional and pleasing. Tables on the lawn for 125 guests were absolutel perfection. Lovely vintage rooms, comfy beds & pillows and excellent service. |Rehearsal dinner in main hotel was delicious, and breakfasts there were terrific. Not to be missed: Mr. jimmy’s custom omelettes and very accommodating service by Sebraea, Norietta, and Tanisha.|Best wedding I have ever attended. |Island exploring, trolley ride, touring grand old homes, sitting by the river, walking under centuries-old Live Oak trees, the museum, bike rentals and more.

It is always a top quality experience here. This was my fourth visit during the winter and it is simply magical. Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is beautiful. We were in town for the Marathon weekend and stayed in the San Souci King Suite as three ladies in a two bedroom with the biggest bathroom I have ever seen in a resort. The soaking tub was dreamy. There was plenty of seating area for us to gather together. We can't wait to return next year.

This is a very special property, the atmosphere and ambiance alone is worth a stay. Just keep in mind this is an extremely old hotel but that is part of the charm. Stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor and was pleasantly surprised how nice and spacious it was. The A/C could have worked a bit better and the bathroom plumbing had its quirks but overall very nice room. Great Sunday brunch in the Grand Dining Room and plenty to do in surrounding area to fill a few days.

For what you pay - it's quite outrageous. If not for the Amex Platinum benefits which granted us a free upgrade to a suite, I would not have appreciated this place. Most rooms are small, old, and lack amenities you'd expect at a hotel - like microwave and kettle. Granted, the staff is more than generous to provide these items, but it requires a 30m - 1hr wait for the staff to bring it to your room. The biggest benefit to staying here is clearly the atmosphere and surrounding campus. Other than that, you're better finding a room at the nearby Westin or Ocean's Club and travelling to the campus for the activities. The food in the dining room is horrendous and ridiculously expensive for the quality of food. The pantry is a step up, but closes quite early. The Wharf isn't much better than the dining room. Wee Pub in the Beach Village serves 10x the quality of food for a fraction of the price. Somehow, what adds to the oddness of this place is its clear catering to middle class and middle or elderly aged white families who haven't a single clue of what modern luxury is. This is made evident by the makeup of the hotel staff. All front-facing roles, like concierge or store clerks, are managed by mostly white folks. All other roles like housecleaning, kitchen staff, janitorial - are managed by mostly black or ethnic folks, some of which is powered by what I suspect is a low-paying internship program for international students. If the goal was to keep this place historically accurate - they've done a great job. Overall a weird place to stay for vacation as a non-white person.

Great stay with family at a historic American destination. I wanted to take a trip with my wife and kids and this resort has beautiful grounds that sprawl along the intercostal, safer for little ones walking around than staying in a city center. There are 2 museums, boat tour, trolley tour, and bike rentals all nearby, plus Summer Waves during the warmer months. The space is also ideal for weddings or conferences. I hope to return again soon.

What a wonderful place for a vacation. Have checked into Jekyll Island Club for four nights. We are on the birdie and breakfast package. We’ve had breakfast each morning in the Grand Hall and The Pantry. The last two days we golfed at Pine Lakes.|We’ve had an early dinner (3pm) everyday at a different establishment in town. iPads, TV and Malibu Sunrises are this afternoon’s entertainment. Another day of golf tomorrow. I just love it here.

We had an event there and the flowers were supplied by Chrissie Miller. The arrangements she provided were outstanding and the service even better. I would highly recommend this vendor for any future event. The day was made better by her service.

Stopped in and toured. Had a light snack. Really nice place to be serving espresso from basically a gas station espresso machine, but at least it matched the frozen dessert. Not exactly cheap either. This wasn't from the main club, I'm sure someone they leased to, but still.
