After reading all the great reviews I finally made a reservation for 5:30 on a Thursday. I intentionally made it during the week so it wouldn't be as busy. They open at 5:30 so when I arrived there was just one couple there and I was dining alone. I was greeted and seated by the owner and chef. He was super friendly and personable and the waitress was the best I've ever had. He brought the fresh bread and she quickly brought the salad. The ginger house dressing was definitely the best dressing I've had and was probably my favorite part of the meal. They didn't have the crab cakes so I'll have to try them next time. I ordered the salmon, rice, and vegetables. I personally prefer my salmon less "crusty" and more softly cooked but it was still good. I ordered plain cheesecake with chocolate drizzle to go but when I got home it was the turtle cheesecake. It was super sweet and was a good portion size and it was a happy accident so I was thankful about it. I can't wait to go back and try all the things as I'm sure he doesn't serve anything that I wouldn't enjoy.

The filet mignon was the best I’ve ever been eaten. It was so tender and flavorful. The remodeled farm house home was lovely. I can see why do many want to have their weddings and other celebrations there.

My wife and I called for a reservation on Sunday afternoon and the owner answered. Even though the restaurant was not open on Sunday, he told us to go at 7 pm. We were surprised to see how big and beautiful it is on the inside. We were greeted by the friendly owner who was there by himself and gave us a Superb service. He even played a beautiful Spanish playlist just for us to enjoy. We had the filet mignon and the rib eye. Both were excellent, the bread, the salad. The servings were so big that we couldn't have dessert. Make sure that you visit this place when visiting Pine Mountain.

We just randomly happened upon this place while staying in Pine Mountain. If you haven’t eaten here, you must go try them out. The atmosphere is so inviting and pleasant. Our meals were cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly, and arrived at our table within a short amount of time. Everyone at the restaurant that we came in contact with was polite, extremely attentive to making sure we were satisfied with our meals, made sure we had enough drinks and continuously interacted with us. Also, it was very obvious that the staff was fulfilled with their jobs, as they presented genuine smiles along with their friendly tone of voice. The owner was also friendly while roaming about the restaurant interacting with customers and making sure everyone was satisfied. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant and staff. We will be returning soon!

It has been a great experience in the past. I have about decided it's a thin veneer of elegance over much a do about nothing. Last I went , Last I had was peeled shrimp with cocktail sauce. Woke up the next morning and the roof of my mouth was burned. Could be a bizarre coincidence. Took about three days to recover. Then, I guess it's his buddy the musician. Why subject the patrons to lousy live music. Can't get a decent musician, get a D.J. Then they were totally understaffed. Had one waitress serving about 30 seats. We had to buss our own table. It's buffet style, try a little of this a little of that. We had to set our dishes on an adjacent empty table. A icing on the cake, had to sit and listen to folks at an adjacent table taking about how many colonosophies they had had and invasive breast surgery and an assortment of nauseating topics while eating. I finally had to walk out to keep from leaving my eaten meal all over the place. The manager has to know when people are trashing the ambiance and do something.

This place looks unassuming from the outside. However you are transported to a exquisite restaurant the moment you enter the door. The host/owner/chef is jovial, generous and makes the experience one of a kind. The serving staff was highly knowledgeable and attentive. And as far as the entrees, they are out of this world. Everything is cooked to perfection and highly aesthetic. This was an accidental adventure, but based on this initial dining encounter, we will return as a yearly tradition.

I wish I could give them 10 stars!! From the time we walked in the restaurant we felt like welcomed guests. Very friendly and helpful staff! Catherine was an awesome server. Food was absolutely delicious with large portions. I had the Filet Mignon and my wife had the leg of lamb special. Both were amazing!! Following payment, I inadvertently left my credit card at the table. They went beyond the “extra mile” to contact me and make arrangements for the card to be returned. So very glad we chose to go to Carriage and Horses as a part of our 50th anniversary celebration!!

We felt so welcomed from the time we walked in till we left. Food was excellent. Best lobster tail I have had in our area. Prime rib was delicious. Salad was full of nice lettuce. Enjoyed the honey ginger salad dressing. Worth the drive. Need reservations.
