While in Dahlonega, we had lunch at Picnic Cafe. It was delicious! My husband had the turkey sandwich/fruit/potato salad and I had the egg salad (delicious!)/pasta salad. Everything was so good and tasty! The restaurant was clean, good service and we loved their choice of music! We brought a piece of Hummingbird Cake back to our trailer to enjoy! We’re from Oklahoma, but if we lived closer, this is a place we would come to often!

Good food and service. This place is always packed. We had lunch but many people were coming in for desserts. We did not have a dessert however, they did look delicious. The sitting area is extremely small but they do have outside seating, too. If you prefer a heated sandwich, you’ll need to make that request.

I got the egg salad on a toasted croissant, tomato basil bisque with seasoned toast points, and sliced fruit. It was so delicious! The sandwiches here have always been my favorite. The service was also excellent; Jana waited on us and she’s the best!

We decided to stay the weekend in Dahlonega on our way to Gatlinburg. The picnic cafe was a great place to stop! We will definitely be going back! We got lunch and really liked their smoked turkey and egg salad sandwiches! They were really fresh and so good! Everyone working there was so nice! Their location is really unique too! Even if you don’t have time for lunch, it’s worth stopping in to get some desserts to go! We got the blueberry scone and double chocolate cookie! Both were delicious! We’ve added this to one of our favorite places to stop!

Very quaint little place for a quick breakfast right on the square. We had egg sandwiches, one on a bagel and one on a biscuit. Get the cinnamon roll too! The staff is very pleasant and the prices are reasonable.

We stopped by this cafe on a cold winter day and their hot tomato bisque was perfect for such a day! I also got a chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. This was a pleasant experience and pricing was good. They have some seating indoor and outdoor. We even had someone outside near the terrace playing guitar and singing Christmas songs, it was wonderful! If in Dahlonega again, we know where to stop by for food.

Amazing staff! Amazing food bursting with flavor! Coffee that hits the soul! It was middle of lunch and service was still super fast. I love local mom and pop style cafes and I will DEFINITELY come back my next time in town! It is a must stop!!

The raspberry shortbread and oatmeal raisin cookies are amazing! Great espresso and blueberry muffins too. The owner is great as well we saw him outside a few times and chatted. I would skip the fruit plate.
