Brunch at Salt and Pepper Cafe was truly a vibe! I brought my dog along for a little weekend treat, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. The outdoor patio is perfect for a chill, relaxed meal—spacious, comfortable, and super dog-friendly. My pup got a couple of cups of whipped cream and lots of love from the staff, which made him one happy camper.

I kicked things off with a spiked strawberry lemonade that was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with just the right kick. As an appetizer, the mini chicken and waffles were crispy, tender, and full of flavor. But the star of the show was the main dish: Cajun catfish and grits with a side of bananas Foster pancakes. The catfish was seasoned to perfection, the grits were creamy and rich, and the pancakes? Melt-in-your-mouth amazing with just the right touch of sweetness.

The service was just as impressive as the food. My waitress was absolutely incredible—attentive, friendly, and on point the entire time. The manager even came out several times to personally check in and make sure everything was going great. That kind of hospitality really stands out and made me feel like a valued guest.

Salt and Pepper Cafe totally exceeded my expectations. Great food, great people, great atmosphere—and my dog gives it two paws up! I can’t wait to come back.

This was our first time here
The food was delicious. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and Super Chicken biscuit.
For the chicken and waffles, the chicken was well cooked, tender, and juicy. The waffles were on point.
For the Super Chicken Biscuit, again, the Chicken was tender and juicy. I substituted the sausage gravy instead of the jalapeño cream gravy. The sausage gravy was hot (temperature) and had chunks of sausage. It is very well seasoned and tasty. Perfect southern dish.
As for the service. We sat very quickly. However, we waited about eight to ten minutes, and no server greeted us. We asked the hostess for menus, and she told us the server would bring us menus. She ended up giving us a QR scanner menu, which was fine. After waiting another five minutes with no server, I asked the hostess who had been next to our table most of the time if we would have anyone take our order. She answered with, "Oh, I'm sorry, let me check," and walked to the center of the restaurant. She returned quickly and told us that a server would be with us shortly. After about five more minutes, a nice lady came over and said she would be taking care of us. After that, the service got better. She took our order, asked if we would like an appetizer, and let us know what the specials were. Since it's our first time here, we can't say that this is a consistent service experience. In my opinion, the hostess was preoccupied with making sure the front door didn't fly open due to the wind but instead should have at least brought us water while we waited. But overall, we would try this place out again. Good food is a priority, right? 🙂

How have I not been to this hidden gem before 😅 For your next breakfast you have to check out Salt & Pepper Cafe. The Bourbon Pecan Chicken & Waffle is a must try! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the waffle had the right amount of crunch to it 🧇 You can’t leave without trying the Peach Bread Pudding 🍑 You won’t be disappointed 👌Every staff member was very welcoming, not only to myself, but every guest that walked in.

Excellent food, wonderful service!
First and foremost, they cook with skill, care, and most importantly Flavor!
The country fried steak skillet will overwhelm you with a deliciousness-flavor-bomb- overload! Yes!!!! Crispy parmesan potatoes under homemade sausage gravy, tender country fried steak, topped with made to order (over easy) eggs that are cooked to perfection. You have a choice, choose wisely, THE BISCUIT! You will not regret these flakey beautiful biscuits. Side note: They cook your eggs any way you like, what impressed me is the eggs are so perfectly cooked to order. The sexy food photos are showing the perfect over easy, and over hard, both as ordered, a rarity in most places! We so so appreciate the attention to details, flavors, and freshness. Today's breakfast was literally sublime. Aside from the amazing tasting food, let's talk about the amazing people. We are always greeted with sincere smiles and true warmth, from wonderful people serving some of the best food in Georgia.
We were informed today that they are now open until 8pm on Thursday and Friday so we can't wait for dinner!

Mimosas were great, the chicken and waffle appetizer was amazing and the shrimp and crab omelet was delicious. Servers are the best around!
