Just tried for the first time today off a whim passing by with a friend. We were driving around the area and I saw the sign out on the horizon, and mentioned "Hey, you've eaten there before right and said it's good, I'll have to go sometime." Friend told me to stop where we were and get into the parking lot and he'd buy me lunch there, no hesitation.

PERFECT Catfish and AMAZING hushpuppies, friend didn't do hyping it up any justice, it was better than anyone could describe in words. I will be making many a happy return soon.

We stopped by today and had the 2 piece catfish and chicken and got the tenders instead of bone-in chicken and we were very pleased with the size and taste of the tenders. It was so much food we had enough to box up and take home. We also got the clam strips which were decent. The onion rings are some of the best I've ever had.

What really caught my eye was the Food inspection report was 100 and the place was clean and inviting. Staff was great and the owner was friendly and spoke to me and we certainly felt welcome. We will be back!

I ordered the 2 Pc. Catfish & 2 Pc. Chicken Combo with green beans and steak fries. The fish was salty and a bit overcooked. The chicken tasted like it was tossed around in salt for days and I could not eat it. It would have been nice if they had reserved some of the salt for the green beans which were not seasoned at all. The fries were the best thing on the plate. I also ordered Peach Cobbler. I wish I saved the $5. This was one of the most disgusting things I ever tasted. It looked a mess and tasted like nothing, but somehow nasty. I've ordered here several times and it's been hit and miss. They will not get me again.

The restaurant is clean, has good fried foods, and provides ok service. I had better catfish tough. The quality of the catfish wasn't good. It is compatible with Captain D’s catfish.

The fried catfish is AMAZING! I like the staff as well, they're very friendly and sometimes the cook will come out and ask for your opinion on the food, and he's open to suggestions. I really like this place.

The Catfish was welled seasons not salty at all! Very very good. You get your Monies worth. Get & go what we did. Great family/ just all around good place to eat or get n go. Those Hush puppiessssss...oh chile' delicious. Two thumps up.

If you are on a diet. For the love of God, CHEAT!!! It will be so worth it. This by far, is the best fried food in GA. The catfish and the chicken is cooked to perfection. I don't get down to that area too often. But, when I do. I say, the hell with my diet. And the onion rings... OMG! That batter is to die for! The atmosphere? Who freakin' cares!! You come for the food. And you will come again. Don't expect fast food. They cook it fresh when you order it. Believe me it's worth the wait. I can't wait to go back and cheat again!

Disappointed. Saw the sign 1200 5 Star reviews? How many 1 star?
Never got to order as the only 2 employees argued about the radio station and wandered around about the place, even ignoring a young boy who kept saying “ma’am, ma’am”.
Sad because I’ve driven past 100 times and decided to give it a shot. Disappointed.

Adding to this as the owner has replied below.

The lady up front said : be right with you. I said no problem. As I waited, the lady up front said: the owner likes this station but customers don’t. That’s not how to run a business.
I waited and waited patiently until I gave up.

As far as the kid was concerned, after his attempts to get an employee’s attention, he was met with not even a glance in his direction. If he had asked for crayons it had to have been before the two gents ordered before me and never got them as long as I was there.
I wasn’t looking for fast food, I was looking to try a place out for the first time that seemed a city staple. I live close by and the sign said over 1000 5 star reviews. Maybe the food is great but the ability to get to the few people that were in the building was pretty slow.
Maybe put an extra person on if they are buried with 5 tables Just a thought. 😁
