Property is great aesthetics wise and that’s about it.

1. I arrive and the person next door is blasting inappropriate audio (the type that would be illegal to have kids around) to where I can hear it in my room. I try calling the hotel numerous times to get sent to voicemail

2. I use the chat feature to tell the hotel, they send security, who briefly walks down my hall and says nothing to the room even though I told them the exact room that was doing it

3. The hotel is valet only, I left my phone charger and a $100 Apple fast charging / Mac charging brick in the car. I go to get it when my phone starts to get low on battery and only the cable is to be found, the brick that was in the car is now gone. All because they only offer valet (technically you can self park but they charge you $25 either way)

4. I’m staying in their ā€œdeluxe suiteā€ and the tv remote is dead, which is wonderful to find out at 11pm. I was told someone would be ā€œright upā€ to fix it, and it’s been almost 15 minutes now.

5. They give you a hair dryer but there are no outlets in the bathroom at all, or within reaching distance of the one other mirror

6. It’s valet only but they don’t answer the phone so you have to stand in 20 degree weather to get your car

I stay in Marriott’s all across the country due to work and I’ve only ever complained about one other one, and that was because I repeatedly got locked out of my room and they had to break into it due to their emergency key card not working either. I’m titanium elite. I have stayed in the crappiest SpringHill suites that have stains in their shower, all the way up to a ritz in Hawaii, and this is by far the worst experience.

I’ve been a loyal Marriott member for years, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I initially booked a reservation that somehow got cancelled without my knowledge. I called and ended up speaking with six different people—each giving me a different story. I was first told it was a glitch in their system and they would rebook my reservation, but by the time they attempted to fix it, the room I originally booked was no longer available. I was first told I could get the next King room available that was a bedroom, but never received an email confirmation. When I called back, I was then told I couldn’t get that either.

Instead of offering real help or even a comparable alternative, they only suggested the higher-priced rooms they had left—with no effort to make things right. No discount, no apology, no accountability.

To make matters worse, they later changed their story and claimed my card didn’t go through and that’s why the reservation was cancelled. I received no email, notification, or alert about any issue with payment. I also contacted my banking institution to confirm this and there was no record of a tried payment.

While the front desk staff was pleasant, the reservations department was completely unhelpful and dismissive. This is not the standard of service I expect from Marriott, and it’s deeply disappointing.

I very much enjoyed my first visit to Trilith Guesthouse. Very high end property with nice bar and restaurant, meeting facilities and great fitness center. I was there for a business meeting and would have loved more time to explore the restaurant/retail and neighborhood nearby, but was very impressed with what I saw. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. The food, while not outstanding, was pretty good. My room was nice, just wish the pillows were a bit on the firmer side. Would return!

Great time with excellent service from Usma at the front desk, and BW at the valet. Our room was clean and very accommodating. Food is excellent. Love the location. ||Again, the service at the front desk and valet was top notch. Cannot say enough good things.

Hunter & Seth were very kind and speedy in the AM. Al was awesome when I dropped my car off. He even remembered me from a visit prior. This team clearly knows how to take care of guests! Very impressed. Great valet team from someone who’s first job was a valet šŸ™‚

BW and Seth were great and courteous at the hotel valet. The fast and deliberate service was immaculate. They were professional and prompt. The experience was great and the best I have had in quite sometimes. This service provides a great impression on the hotel and sets the example for all the staff.

Beautiful hotel and nice area, with quaint shops. The food that was catered for our event was some of the best hotel food I have had at any hotel. Lots of great options and flavor.

The staff upstairs at the bar was friendly and accommodating. The biggest piece of feedback would be to improve customer service training of front desk receptionists. Multiple in our group had bad experiences throughout the time (my check in receptionist was great).

Additionally, quite a few staff moved at a very slow pace and didn't have a sense of urgency (thinking of the downstairs restaurant, as an example).

Finally, ensure that the crevices of rooms are dusted and cleaned properly.

Go up
