Amy is wonderful! I contacted her several months ago about catering a Prime Rib dinner for a fundraiser. She was more than happy to help me. We decided on a menu after her recommendations. The food was perfection! Her prices were also incredible compared to most of the other companies I contacted. Even though you will always get an out-of-office reply because she is so busy, don't be discouraged. She will always email you back with great, timely responses. The burger was dried out, the bun was soggy the fries are baked not fried. The lettuce was wilted. The so called big salad was not big it was in the front compartment of the 3 compartment takeout box. Save your money!

I picked up lunch today at Simply Southern in Springfield today! The shrimp, chicken fingers and salad were absolutely delicious!! The portions were large and everything was cooked to perfection! Such a treat and very friendly service!

You absolutely can not go wrong with Simply Southern Caterers! Amy and her crew are amazing. They have always had the BEST chicken fingers. I can't wait to stop in their new location. They offer casseroles and other dishes during the week, as well as the entire meal needed for the your Thanksgiving holiday. Their values and work ethic are what set them a part!

Had Simply Southern Caterers prepare meal for us after funeral service, called afternoon before service and they were very accommodating and helpful with our needs. Food was beyond my expectations and price was right where I thought it should be. Will be glad to use again and recommend to others.

The service was fantastic.
I got the take and bake chicken and dumplings and the Shepards pie and both were amazing!!!
This place is a bit pricey.
I got a lunch of chicken tenders and fries and a cheeseburger. The tenders were ok. The cheeseburger was huge and pretty good if you like the liptons onion in your burger. Personally I just like salt and pepper on my burger.
I will definitely be returning for the ready to go meals.
They were much better than southfork provisions which I find a bit bland and lackluster.

When we began the process of planning our daughter’s wedding reception, we knew right from the start that we wanted a southern flare to the food that was offered. We had worked with Simply Southern before at several events and knew that they offered exactly the high quality menu with that touch of the south that we were looking for. The staff is very professional and the food is just out of this world! I lost count of the number of guests at the reception who came up to me praising the deliciousness of the food that was offered. Several of them even went as far as to say that it was the best “wedding food” that they had ever partaken of. I have to say that, I am inclined to agree with them. Simply Southern offers southern flavored comfort food that is just as much at home at a fancy wedding ceremony as it is at your grandma’s kitchen table. It’s the best of both worlds, really.
