Amazing food at an excellent price. My favorite is hands down the shrimp and grits, my husband's favorite is the low country enchiladas. The oysters are also great! We have loved everything we have tried. Service has been great every single time. Ohhh yes and Sunday mimosas at brunch! 🥂 🔥

AMAZING Food and atmosphere!! Everyone loved their food and had a little to take home. We also had the popcorn crawfish but forgot to take a picture of it. The beef short rib was very tender, no knife needed! The crab cakes are large and mostly made with crab!

Service was a little slow. Wasn't too impressed with the crawfish bites. Braised short ribs were very flavorful, but one piece was mostly fat. Potatoes were nice with the gravy made from the drippings of the ribs. Salad was good with the vinaigrette dressing. Angus burger was flavorful. Enchiladas were good and cheesy.

Amazing little place, authentic yummy southern food!
The quality of the food was top notch and the service was amazing.
We stopped by on our way from Athens to Atlanta and I’m glad we did!
Tried the braised short ribs, shrimp and grits, seafood jambalaya.

George's has been our go to spot for a special dinner, but I've been disappointed the last couple of times we've gone. In particular, my favorite dish, crab cakes used to come on a bed of yummy stewed corn. The last two times it's been on plain corn that could have come out of a can. Not good. Other dishes as well have seemed less appetizing than what we have had in the past. Service remains outstanding.

We ordered crawfish appetizer and they were so tiny, the biscuits were just ok. The shrimp tortellini carbonara could be better because the rice was hard. The beef brisket has big chunk of fat in it although flavor was good. Overall the food were pretty good however we waited for a long time for the food to come out. It’s not very memorable experience.

I was greeted by a friendly host and seated immediately, which is a miracle on a Sunday afternoon. My waitstaff was nice but forgot about me after my food was delivered. I noticed the tables around me received lots of customer service but I literally had to flag someone to get my check. The low country boil was nicely presented but lacked any flavor. The boil broth was watery and had no Cajun seasonings at all, not a boil preparation. Nice ambience and fellow patrons were lovely. Simplify the menu and elevate the flavor profile, it would be packed every brunch service. All the best.

I really want to like this place but there were several strikes for me, others might not have the same perspective.
The special was a Low Country Boil, as I love something like Frogmore Stew, but this just sounded like simply boiled seafood. I could tell our waitress had never seen this dish, much less tasted it. When I asked for a further description, I was told it didn't have "fresh" crab as they use up older seafood. (Needless to say, I passed on that dish).
We did get the fried green tomatoes which were hot, had a nice crisp to them, they were tasty. The Hopping John was ok, but it was served cold which is unusual for me. There could have been more of the remoulade sauce.
The shrimp and grits appetizer was very rich but flavorful. The grit cake was creamy & perfectly cooked. The shrimp, were small rock shrimp but correctly prepared and flavorful, the sauce was similar to a buerre blanc but definitely not what I think as traditional preparation, to me the best part of shrimp and grits is the sauce made with a great shrimp/ andouile stock, this was not that.
The Country Fried Chicken was boneless chicken but it was moist inside & crispy on the outside, the breading was cornmeal, not what I think of for Southern Fried Chicken but overall good, however, I would never expect brown gravy on Southern Fried Chicken. It was served with collard greens that were really great. Nice level of vinegar and very flavorful, probably the best bite that I had. They were also served with mashed potatoes which were almost cold, but they had the unexpected brown gravy so I wasn't planning on eating them anyway.
Dinner came with biscuits which have garlic and onion in them, again another item that didn't work for me although the biscuits had a nice rise, and were light and fluffy. When asked what was in the biscuits, our waitress had to ask the kitchen, I'm not sure if she's even ever tasted a biscuit before.
Feedback for management: 1-The menu really should describe your dishes including sauces. When I went back and looked much of what I had issue with, most wasn't even described on the menu. 2- Let your staff taste your food! Likely our waitress was new but it sure seemed you're not setting her up for success.
