From London to L.A. it is very hard to find a genuine authentic Sushi. A warm and thoughtful environment. Absolutely my favorite place in all of the Athens/Oconee area! WOW!! This is our new favorite place. Went in for a nice lunch. Quick service and the food! So much attention to detail in the cutting of the veggies and the flavors were rich and satisfying. I'm laughing at the review who said the sushi wasn't cold. What a misinformed comment. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Lovely place. Lovely people!

What a hidden gem!! We stopped in today for lunch and was so impressed by the food, service and value for the money. We had lunch hibachi (one shrimp, one steak) and a Philadelphia Roll. I was concerned based on other reviews that it would be pricey, but the non-lunch pricing seemed VERY reasonable.

Our waitress was extremely attentive, and welcoming. I’d eat here all the time if we didn’t live at the lake, but so thankful we have a new spot when running errands in Athens / Watkinsville!

10/10 recommend!!

Nice surprise. Definitely a 5 star experiance. We were looking for a place to have lunch and boy were we delight at our choice. Wonderful cooked hibachi steak and chicken fried rice. Great soup and salads with super fresh ingredients. Lunch portions are generous, prices are very reasonable and service great. Nice decor and background music. Parking could be challenge, but don’t pass this place up.

When I came in it took a while for me to be seated. I arrived on a Mon afternoon during the lunch period. I was seated and ordered water with lemon and a sweet tea. I got the sweet tea but never received the water. I ordered gyoza for starters. It came out and it was ok. I ordered two different types of sushi with white sauce and eel sauce. The sushi was ok. Nothing too special. It didn't have the flavor or the freshness I am used to. The white sauce didn't have the flavor that I'm used to either. Overall, I wouldn't try it again.

Our family loves this place! We enjoy the regular menu as well as the sushi menu. The sushi is the freshest we’ve had anywhere! We often ask for “chefs special rolls” and they always amaze us! This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Athens area.

I had a friend give me a gift card here and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were super nice and the sushi was good. We went the following night to one of our normal chains' new locations and should have just saved myself the extra 30-minute drive and came back here.

This is definitely among the top ten restaurants I have ever been to. The food was outstanding, the service was very quick, and they gave me ice cream, mochi, and a fancy set of silverware all for free because it is my birthday! Overall, Oyishi is an amazing restaurant, and I am definitely coming here again.
