Our music group was singing at a church in this area, and the church hosted us at the chicken coop bed and breakfast. What a wonderful experience. We fell in love with Miss Sonia, the house was absolutely beautiful, it was totally clean and the atmosphere made you feel like you were right at home. The breakfast was outstanding. Overall the experience was 100% great. We look forward to going again.

Our visit to The Chicken Coop Bed 'n Breakfast was a very nice one. The innkeepers, Norman and Sonja are friendly. Their home is very warm and inviting. We appreciated their attention to our needs and their desire to make us feel right at home and comfortable. Sonja puts such great care and time into making a wonderful and filling breakfast! It was a quiet and relaxing get-away for us.

The Chicken Coop felt like our own home, only better!! Anyone looking for a nice, comfortable, cozy, place should visit it. Sonya and Norman are amazing and welcome you immediately. Breakfast was delicious...very tasty and all homemade. We stayed there a whole week with our toddler and our 8-year-old and enjoyed every minute. The place is conveniently located for travelers and very close to Athens. The best place to stay all around! Thank you, Chicken Coop!

If you were fortunate enough to have sweet, Southern grandparents you will recognize and delight in this homey, welcoming place. If you weren't so fortunate then you will definitely want to stay with these lovely people to experience it. Norman and Sonja will make you smile, laugh and look forward to seeing them again. Stay here and then go enjoy Athens during the day. ||||Breakfast: Oh My Word Delicious! When making the reservation my wife mentioned that I avoid gluten. Sonja made me gluten free biscuits, gluten free gravy, and my own little gluten free egg casserole. So thoughtful and kind....and yummy. Breakfast is different every morning so stay several days if you can!

Can't say enough about the warmth and hospitality you will experience with Sonya and Norman. Just like being at grandma's house, the accommodations are spacious, clean, super cozy, and the homemade breakfasts' will make you want to return again and again. Sonya and Norman go above and beyond with their guests and you feel just like family. We had a great stay at the Chicken Coop. The breakfasts were amazing! After eating one of Sonja's breakfasts, my husband and I were ready for a full day of exploring. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was so pleasant to come back and relax after our days out and about.||||If we are in the area again, we will come back to The Chicken Coop

The Chicken Coop was an amazing experience. The cottage is clean, organized and everything you need is provided, including an amazing hot breakfast at whatever time you ask for it.
Norman and Sonja are the most welcoming and hospitable people you ever met. I will defiantly be returning!!

We always felt at home! We were at the Coop in 2013 and went back again this year. Sonja and Norman are great and they accommodated everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and the food is delicious!! We hope to stay there again soon.
