Stayed there this WKnd over Valentine's, resort is a strong word....rooms are dated but they are on the water, we had a water view room and the back door went right outside which was nice for our dog.

They have the Oaks which is an upscale restaurant and the marina which you can take a path and walk to as well.

There is no in room microwave but a community one by the elevators which we thought was strange. The room fridge is pretty small as well. The shower is the highlight in the room, it has amazing pressure, it's like a power wash and you don't want to get out, very hot water too. 🚿

There is coffee provided in the lobby and it's not great. Our bed was super firm so our hips were bothering us after 1 night. No breakfast included, you have to go to the restaurants and room service/delivery prices are NOT worth it. Many near by breakfast joints to go to.

We didn't have great weather this WKnd so Fri was the best day to walk around and explore. The lobby is pretty with a fireplace, no bar in the hotel but there is a small convenience area with beer/wine you can purchase. We do travel with our small dog, so glad they are pet friendly.

We had an overall great time exploring the area and enjoyed bell mountain and the graffiti rocks and views from the top, best to have 4WD to get up there.💓

A perfect retreat at the Ridges Resort was the highlight of my year!
The Ridges is a breathtaking lakeside resort in Lake Chatuge, Georgia, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, the service exceeded all expectations. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was phenomenal.

The catering for our business meetings during the day was exceptional—both breakfast and lunch were a delight. We had dinner on property every night and every meal was thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The flavors and presentation were consistently impressive.

The accommodations were the highlight of our stay. The luxurious pillows and incredibly comfortable beds made it easy to relax and unwind after a day of crunching numbers. What truly set this resort apart were the sensational views. Waking up to the serene lake, wildlife, blooming gardens, and rolling mountains was an experience in itself.

This resort is a gem for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway, combining luxury with natural beauty. I’ll definitely be planning a return trip with my family and recommending it to friends and colleagues!

Rooms were bright, clean and a good size. We had a little patio, it looked like most if not all rooms had balconies. Beautiful property with big lawns and large old growth trees. Ample walkways to use to get around the property. Lots of benches, chairs, pavilions and other areas to sit and enjoy the view. We were there in spring so none of the water sports or pool were up and running. The restaurant was delicious. The atmosphere and decor in the lobby and common areas is rustic and warm. At least 2 outdoor fire pits and multiple fire places inside. Very affordable at $89/night in the spring...summer and fall shoots up to $300/night.

Loved the resort from the minute you walk in, we were greeted by Ciara’s at the front desk with a hot cup of apple cider. She was so pleasant to deal and very informative. The lobby has such a cozy atmosphere I was happy to hang out there watching the beautiful views of the lake. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Defn would come back and try it out in the summer months.

Rooms are clean and nice sized, especially enjoyed the back sliders that open to the beautiful grounds. I gave it 4 stars because when you enter the room, you get a dated and bare-bones kind of feeling rather than plush, luxurious, or cozy. It had basic essentials, but there was no microwave, no robes, and to watch television, we would have had to contact the front desk (some kind of signal problem?)

People behind the desk are friendly, willing to help, and well meaning; but also seem new to the job.

We love the location. Really enjoy eating at the oakes and marina. Also, like the live music at the sandbar just down the road.

During the summer, there are several lovely walking paths, and the hotel is pet friendly!

Loved the hotel rustic lodge ambiance. Stayed 2 nights in a renovated king room lakeside during Christmas Eve. Room was really nice. Staff provided cookies, cider and s’mores(nightly) in the lobby. Costa coffee and cocoa at the coffee station. We liked sitting in the hotel lobby by the fireplace. Christmas tree and decorations were lovely. Great restaurant nearby and the food was delish at the Marina.

We loved the beautiful view of the lake, the lobby area and entrance were beautiful. We had a beautiful room with a wonderful view. We were impressed with the room. And we loved Carol who took so much time and care with us at checkin and when we were leaving. She was warm, caring and explained a lot of details to us at check in. It was very obvious that she loved serving others ! We were very impressed. |The only suggestions I offer was the need for some landscaping on some of the trees and some of the exterior of the building to shine a little more. It’s such a beautiful property that can shine even more with some detailing outside. We will be back !!💗

The Ridges Resort will forever hold an incredible special place in the hearts of my entire family and friends. It is where my husband and I decided to host our wedding weekend and we could not be more grateful to have had the opportunity to get married there. When we were first looking at venues, we knew we wanted a place where we could bring everyone together for more than just the 4 hours of a wedding ceremony and reception. That's when we saw The Ridges. For us, it was perfect. It had enough space to house all of our guest, tons of amenities to host the multiple events that we were considering, and simply stunning views of Lake Chatuge and the mountains.

What we didn't expect was just how spectacular The Ridges staff would be in making our dreams come true. We pretty much took over their entire resort from Thursday - Sunday, hosting events for all of our guest each day. Each day they made us feel like such a priority and that they were just as excited as we were for the events ahead. There are so many things to highlight but just to give you an idea, here are a few special moments that I will remember:

1) Andrew (sales manager) literally carrying our folding tables across the whole property to help us set up for a pickleball tournament (an event that we were not paying the ridges to put on)
2) The catering staff encouraging us all weekend with hugs and compliments + bringing my husband and I snacks whenever we looked like we had two seconds to eat.
3) Mrs. Carol at the front desk being such a ray of sunshine throughout the whole weekend. Helping our guest with all their needs but also taking the time to learn about us, our relationship and our plans for our marriage
4) The engineering team for last minute modifying their dock so that we could have our boat exit send off of our dreams!

I could go on, but I think the point I am trying to make is that The Ridges and their staff is in the business of making memories. Rather you are looking for a family vacation, a family reunion, an awesome corporate retreat, or a spectacular wedding, The Ridges has what you need to make the absolute sweetest memories. We will be customers for life and are already planning our one year anniversary back!
