Pros: the staff was kind and helpful
Cons: this is not a place I would ever recommend, nor would I stay here again. It feels very much like a motel, and it appears as if some of the rooms are rented out as long term stays. The clientele is quite questionable, and as a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe. The first room I had felt like the floor was going to collapse and there were cockroaches in the room. They kindly moved me to a new room which was in much better condition, but again, that does not change the motel-like look and feel. The rooms are also very outdated.

Room was exceptionally clean - it's tired and could use some new carpet - but the housekeepers do great work and other things like desk, linens, bathroom were fine.

Me and my family stayed two night at residence inn buckhead we were initially a bit skeptical because of the savage reviews that were posted about this hotel so we went to view the rooms before our intially stay to make sure it upheld a certain amount of cleanliness (which it did) it wasn’t as uncomfortable as some of the reviews said we stayed in the penthouse room for Christmas and we were able to comfortably eat our Christmas meal … our room did not have any bugs now the upstairs room got hotter than the downstairs the beds were hard and uncomfortable that would be the only thing that would stop us from booking here again the area downstairs was clean but the upstairs bathroom could have used a little more cleaning the staff was accommodating and were not rude at all it wasn’t the perfect stay but it did what it was supposed to do for the time we were their if you do stay here make sure to check all tvs and everything before a certain time so that it can be fixed because at a certain time some of the staff leave. Any problem we had was solved and other than a few minor things it wasn’t a totally bad experience.

Staying here for work in area. Place is quiet and clean even though it's a little older I would definitely recommend trying and will stay here in future. Also has a full kitchen for food preparation.
Staff works hard to accommodate any concerns. Self serve laundry on site. There is a pool, basketball court, sitting area with a grill and a firepit too. Breakfast was great the day we tried it out. Close to restaurants and stores..

I'll start with saying the lady at the front desk was as kind as any person I've ever met. I separate my experience with her from my stay.
I didn't know the hotel was an old apartment complex- looking place. The pictures didn't really do it justice. I had many safety concerns. I went to sleep concerned someone would break into the room or my car.
The room stank like there was a dead rat in the wall. The bathroom was ancient (cast iron tub and no room to turn around) and the carpet seemed old. A major reno is needed.
The only assurance I felt was that it was a Bonvoy property and certain standards had to be kept.

I stayed at this hotel a couple weeks ago for one night, Saturday overnight to Sunday. Although the room was nice and comfortable and the grounds were well kept my criticism comes with the lobby area. I was shocked by how filthy the breakfast area was and how little the employees seemed to care or notice. I came in for breakfast, grabbed a coffee and bagel then left. I couldn't believe how filthy the high chairs were for babies and how much food was on the wall and floor in the area of the garbage can. My disbelief came as I was leaving and I came back to grab another coffee. The garbage had been taken out and none of the filth on the trash can was cleaned. Clearly, these employees don't have the foresight or the initiative to do any more than is absolutely necessary. Big thumbs down for this place.

I won’t be back. We had a penthouse. The maintenance and upkeep on this Marriott needs attention. The location was sketchy. I didn’t expect that for a hotel in Buckhead.
