Food was very delicious! We got the fried chicken Reuben with a potato salad side and the Famous Po' Boy sandwich with fries. Both dishes were great and were enough for more than 1 portion. Great for a price point of about $13-14 each. The service was mediocre. The ambience was also just alright. There was a big bright white fluorescent light shining right above our heads. It was a fast food/deli vibe. Sound levels were good, you could have a conversation easily and there was nice music.

Today was my first time having Goldbergs. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Parking wasn't easy to find with it being lunch time but,The prices are reasonable, the food and service are great! I ordered the NY style Ruben with Onion rings.

Jojo was my cashier she was personable and helpful. Each servicer was great.

I am looking forward to my next visit !

Went here a coupla weeks ago in the early afternoon, got the pastrami NY stack, latkes, and reuben eggrolls.

Honestly the pastrami was underwhelming. I read that normally pastrami is more fatty than the corned beef used in reubens, but this pastrami sandwich was kinda dry. The taste was good but nothing special.

HOWEVER, the reuben eggrolls were absolutely incredible, like biting into heaven, and the remoulade they serve it with was delicious. First time eating latkes, and they were very delicious and crispy as well.

Overall I'd give the pastrami a 3/5 but the eggrolls and latkes deff a 5/5. Will come back!

2025 Update: Still a great place. We had a great breakfast. With French toast/ bacon and an egg and cheese bagel. Great food and service at reasonable price.
2024-4 Review: Couldn’t stay away. I usually like to try new places, but this hit the spot. This time I had some of the best French toast I have had. My wife stuck with a bagel. Again great, efficient, and friendly service.

2023-3 initial review: Great bengals, sandwich’s and more. We went for lunch an had a Rueben, po’ boy and an Asiago beagle with cream cheese. All were great including the friendly service. You could have a wait for seating during peak times, but the wait is worth it. The front of the store has take out deli items.

Both the variety of meal options and quality of food are superb. Moreover, all of the servers are outstanding. I want to commend one of my all- time favorites, Brittney. She always provides 5-star guest service to me, as she is most attentive, cordial, and has a knack of spreading her positive energy to brighten my day. Brittney possesses a gift and skill of connecting with us guests. This simply cannot be taught. In summary, she does an awesome job, and certainly plays a major role in making my experience at Goldbergs an absolutely enjoyable one!!!

The bagels are excellent. I had an egg bagel with chipotle avocado cream cheese, and it was lovely. We ordered the Ruben egg rolls, which were fantastic. They were a bit on the sweet side, not much acidity from the sauerkraut, but they were still very good. The staff were all wonderful and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall, this is a very pleasant place to eat.

I love this place. I come here to meet a good friend of mine every couple of months, and even though there is another location that is closer to me (I live northwest of Atlanta about 30 miles NW) it is still my favorite spot to eat downtown, for several reasons.

Basically, while the Toco Hills location is always a busy area, it's fun , it has a great atmosphere, the people are always professional, friendly, not rushed but very efficient, very service oriented, the food is always fresh, and it could be raining, sunny, cold, hot or whatever outside, inside it's always the same good old Goldbergs. At the risk of sounding cliche or "bougie", this place reminds me of Tom's Place on Seinfeld, with an upgrade.

First of all the food is always perfect and consistent. I used to always order breakfast because I'm a breakfast kind of guy, but lately, I've been exploring their menu more and I just never get let down! On the last visit I had the Goldbergs Quesadilla, not something I would normally order from a deli-style cafe, and yet it was really good (see menu for ingredients). I was not surprised at the taste and quality because everything is always so good and I was just very happy with my order. Even the potato salad was good, and I usually do NOT like deli style potato salad as I make my own and mine is the best (that's right).

Even the coffee is always fresh and tastes like coffee should taste everywhere - hot and freshly made.

I rarely am able to give a place such an all around great review but this place is just great. I always pick up something from the fresh deli to take home.

Location: 5 stars

Whoever owns/manages this place cares about it and it shows. HIGHLY recommend.
