Such a beautiful resort! Our room was lovely and the view...so peaceful and so relaxing. I didn't have a long stay. However, I will remedy that very soon with an extending stay to explore all that the resort has to offer. It has the perfect blend of rustic and luxury, without sacrificing technology. I highly recommend anyone considering staying here to do so expeditiously! You won't regret it!

Our weekend was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff at Forrest Hills was friendly and accommodating, and our cabin was well appointed . Dinner in the couples dining room was delicious. We recommend the Coffee Rubbed Pork Chop, and the Ribeye. The Fried Cheesecake was also excellent. Horseback riding was fun, and both the horses and wranglers were topnotch. The facilities are somewhat dated, and could use a facelift, but hey, so could I.

We love this place! We recently last week stayed at Cupid's Hideout Cabin for our late anniversary celebration since we were both sick in December. We try to stay here once a year. It is close to where we live. We met one of the owners that next day at breakfast she was very nice, and we enjoyed our chat with her. We so enjoyed our relaxing stay and the wonderful hot tub in the cabin. Always peaceful and we had the best cheeseburger from the restaurant that first night. Service is always great and so love seeing the cats on site as well outdoors roaming around. It is just a beautiful place for us to get away for a short trip and the room is always clean and they are so welcoming. Love the little gift shop on site as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone to stay and would be such a lovely place for a wedding. We look forward to coming back and our next stay soon! Thank you, Forrest Hills Resort for always making our stay great!

My husband and I just spent our 25th Wedding Anniversary at Forrest Hills! It was perfect! It was our 4th trip to the cabin, the last being almost 20 years ago. We spent our honeymoon there on our 2nd visit. We were welcomed back like old friends! The front desk staff are some of the most friendly and wonderful people! Everyone, from management, to the breakfast staff, to the housekeepers, are second to none! It's still the same place, with a few upgrades. It's such a special place, keeping our memories alive. Be sure to visit the gift shop! It's the best! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary. Loved the cabin with the hot tub and fireplace. The cabin was clean and roomy. Horseback riding is a must. The staff is great especially the girls in the office, Brittany and Shay. We will be back for sure. Thanks everyone

The most dreamy wedding venue with so many different things to do around it! From onsite to a 20 minute drive, guests are bound to find something they’ll love! Sheri was absolutely amazing! From the time we arrived at the beginning of the weekend until the day we left, she was fast to respond, extremely helpful, and on top of all my wishes and requests! I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful location and the amazing staff! My only complaint (wedding wise) is the 4 hour reception time— it flies by too quick! Other than that I highly recommend Forrest Hills Resort AND Sheri for any getaway, wedding, honeymoon, etc.!!!!

Wonderful stay with my husband for my birthday. The property is lovely and our very private cabin was spacious and comfortable with easily controlled heat, a kitchenette, hot tub, porch and spacious living room. We enjoyed breakfasts at the restaurant which were both tasty and generously portioned.
The cabin could benefit from some furniture upgrades. The mattress needs to be replaced as well as the larger sofa in the sitting area which lacked firm support. Otherwise, our stay was fantastic. We’d definitely return. The location is 10 stars for anyone looking to spend time at the falls and hike up to the AT approach trail or drive to Springer Mtn. parking lot.

A very beautiful, spectacular resort. The scenery and horses give the venue a very whimsical look and feel. The only complaint I have is I would suggest that the staff, I'm not sure if this was the owner or coordinator, but please keep their distance during the events and ceremony or at least dress in wedding attire. I have many photos where I've had to remove a certain staff member standing in the background taking their own photos while I'm shooting the couple or walking into the wedding space while the ceremony is taking place. Venue staff should not be so close to the event that they are visible in numerous photos, especially if they are not in all black or in wedding attire. The client and most of their guests wore black and white and then to have a staff member wearing jeans and a shirt throws the photos off and gives the photographer more work to do in removing them from the clients photos. Other than that, it was a lovely event space.
