Wow. It’s been a while since I rated a hotel with a 1 star, but this one does deserve this. We stayed with friends and they all had the same opinions. ||As a Bonvoy elite, you only receive a $10 credit per day at the Bistro, which is only open for breakfast. It closed at 10am, and no one told me nor were there any visible posted signs, so we went next door to Jason’s Deli. ||The room itself is ok and the bed is comfortable. Our room had an ironing board but no iron. And since there are no phones in the room, I went to the front desk to request one. It never came. Our friend had an opposite experience where he didn’t have an ironing board. So together we were made whole. Another friend had all the tv cables pulled out so he had to put it back together. And also our room didn’t have any soap. ||Also if you’re concerned about safety in the parking lot, the lights flicker at different times so it looks like you’re at a rave! It was pretty dark otherwise.

Such a terrible experience from beginning to the end.
We went for a family trip, super easy check in, we got worried cause they did not have elevator. But ok cause it was only one floor.
Went we got to the room noticed some bags and Luggage inside, definitely was taken already.
My husband went back to the front desk, She apologized and gave us another room.
We walk in, this was not taken but, noticed it was under remodeled, also the trash can with papers, not paper toiled, not shampoo or conditioner, parts of the TV base on a side.
We stayed there for 3 days and they never clean the room or change the towels.
They did not even have ice buckets.

And you can see the hotel is getting remodeling but still. My husband it’s a frequent traveler reason why he stays is several hotels, first time.

The staff were kind and responsive. The hotel itself? Clearly under construction. Our closet was large and perfect for the suits and dresses we brought... minus the fact there was no bar to hang them from. When we told the staff they were apologetic and sent someone to install the bar the next day, and as well as giving us the missing coffee maker that was absent from the room. The maintenence workers were cordial and also fixed the door handle to the closet.

I have nothing ill to say about the people at this hotel. But the hotel itself is busted.

Also there is no elevator to the second floor. Definitely not ADA-compliant. If walking up and down a flight stairs is difficult for any reason, make sure to book a 1st floor room. Or anything else.

Frustrating Experience – Poor Customer Service

Good luck getting in touch with the front desk. I had to call multiple times just to get someone to answer, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel. When I finally reached someone, I was met with rudeness, no accountability, and zero empathy.

I attempted to escalate my concerns but was repeatedly denied access—apparently, they assumed I was only seeking a refund. Despite an honest mistake on both ends, I was only issued a partial refund, which wasn’t even my main concern. The real issue was the terrible customer service.

My Experience:
1. Poor Communication: It took several calls just to reach someone. As someone with hotel experience, I know this is not how front desk service should operate.
2. Lack of Accountability & Rudeness: The staff gave me incorrect information at check-in, but instead of owning their mistake, they were dismissive and unprofessional.
3. Unprofessional & Unwelcoming: The lack of hospitality wasn’t just over the phone—it was just as bad in person.

I also spoke with Falo A., who is apparently some type of manager, but he was unbelievably rude. Instead of assisting me professionally, he rushed through the call, spoke with hostility, and even had the nerve to say, *"I’ll be keeping that other (insert amount here)."* I wasn’t aware he was the sole recipient of funds at Courtyard Atlanta Northlake.

I’ll be taking this to corporate and filing a formal complaint. Hopefully, they can encourage some level of decorum** in future guest interactions.

If you’re considering staying here—good luck.

I have to write this review about my experience at this location. My key fob went out right before my check out at 10am. Mr Jay at the front desk was so helpful he help me locate a ladder and anything he could get his hands on to get into my vehicle. Even when that didn't work I contacted my roadside service. Mr. Jay extended my check out till 4 pm to allow time for the locksmith to arrive. THAT'S WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! ESPECIALLY IN THE TIMES WE LIVE IN! He was so professional and nice. If you happen to stay at this location please give him a shout out for me!! Thanks so much Mr. Jay!!!!

The front desk girl was so welcoming. She had the best attitude that I've ever encountered at a Marriott and I travel..Her customer service was impeccable. Tasha was her name and she was just the sweetest thing. I did have a few problems but she fixed it. So empathetic to what was happening. The location was close to everything I needed. Would definitely recommend

I have never had such a horrible experience at any Marriott property. A man by the name of Mike Jones knocked on my door at 12:49 to attempt to clean my room. I informed him that the guy who checked me in gave a late checkout of 3:00 PM due to my titanium elite membership he proceeded to tell me through the door that I better be out by 3:00 PM on the dot. I called the front desk to confirm my checkout time and they proceeded to let me know that my checkout time was actually 4:00 PM. As I went to the front desk to get information for the general manager to let them know about what had occurred, the guy Mike proceeded to follow me. I Let him know that I they gave me till 4 PM to check out. He told me then I had until 2 PM to check out since I went to the front desk to let them know. He then proceeded to let me know that he would have authorities remove me out of my room if I was not out in that time span I went back to my room to contact corporate at that time. He also proceeded to follow me back to my room to knock on the door again to let me know that I had until 2 PM to check out he had someone with him at that time , I let him know that I was on the phone with corporate, and they informed me as well that I had until 4 PM to check out he notified me again that he would have authorities remove me out of the room if I was not out in time. He said that he spoke to his general manager, and it was up to his discretion how long I was allowed to stay there. I then reached out to authorities myself to make sure I was properly escorted off the property as well as there be a mediator to make sure nothing further happened and to request a police report. Once the authorities arrived He told the authorities that he could give me to 3 PM to check out, I wasted two hours , in this negotiation, when I could’ve just been sleep as I initially was doing when he knocked on my door, I will escalate this to the furthest extent possible I could not believe this is my treatment. This is not the Marriott way.

I had an absolutely dismal experience at this Courtyard. The Wi-Fi was completely nonfunctional during my stay. The front desk staff is unhelpful. The room itself was filthy, with visible dirt and grime that made me question the hotel’s standards. To make matters worse, there was no housekeeping service at all, I was stuck with the mess for my whole visit. Oh, and don’t get me started on the lack of an elevator—hauling luggage up stairs was the cherry on top of this awful stay. Avoid this place unless you enjoy frustration and disappointment.
