It wasn't the greatest I've had and it's not the worst , but it sucked. The chicken was barley cooked and was chewy , it was very bland. The sushi was not that great and the soy sauce was super salty. It is sad because before covid this place was awesome , they are not opened indoors anymore and the place looks like an absolute mess and the owner clearly doesn't care. If you want GOOD Asian food , drive up to killingly and go to Yamato or go down to norwich and go to mahzu do not waste your money here, hopefully the owner will sell and they can put a good japanese/Chinese resteraunt in.

Whoever wrote the review about check your bag to make sure you have everything I 100% agree.

I asked for 4 chopsticks and 3 eel sauce (which was paid for) and they did not provide all 3 eel sauce and only received 1. I’m feeling salty on getting charged for eel sauce I was not provided. Chop sticks only gave 3.

Overall food was really good as far as sushi goes and crab rangoons. The sauce provided was weird - like a Thai chili would have been way better.

Said they will only serve pork fried rice because vegetable fried rice would be a "substitution" (it's not, its just not ordering pork fried rice?) on a day when it's Jewish tradition to order chinese food; a weird time to take a strong stance of "everyone MUST have pork or nothing!"

Mongolian carrots

We ordered from Joyful house as we usually do and this is what we received. Half of the meal was carrot. This is the first time we have ever had this issue. We also ordered a plate of general tso's and it was very underwhelming.

As I said before this is the first time we've had this issue and it's extremely disappointing. We tried to cheer up our friends who were having a bad week and this is what we received.

Best Chinese and sushi in the area hands down. Delicious scorpion bowls too. Only complaint would be the high turnover of wait staff.

They used to be so much better and have gone down hill always luke warm at best clearly reheated food no matter what day or time.

The service was overall pretty good. The women that gave us our food was very kind. No issue there. My main issue has to be the food. Most of the food was very dry as if it had been more than a few days old. The fried rice was super greasy. And lastly the dumplings I had ordered were mostly dough and also some were still undercooked. I can appreciate the dough made from scratch but these were just the worst dumplings I had unfortunately. A pretty big disappointment. I would take store bought dough over overly thick handmade dough any day. Not all of the food is bad but it definitely was a big hit or miss though. Very inconsistent.
