Stopped for an overnight stay. This was a perfect stop. We were in the A loop. Full hookups, public restrooms were clean. The park was quiet. Very expansive and impressive surrounding grounds. Nice walking trails. We will be sure to stop in again.

Do NOT recommend. Local suggested picking this Campground bc of proximity to water park for our child. Water Park is only open on weekends, however. We went on a weekday. This Campground was the dirtiest we came across our entire trip & the bathroom attendant was so EXTREMELY RUDE and MEAN. She asked us to get out of the bathroom in the morning bc she's busy cleaning & said if we absolutely needed to shower or pee to go do it at the dirty, bug infested, no A/C Pavillion bathrooms down the road. She said her name wasn't any of our damn business and we were more than welcome to report her to the office bc they won't give a damn. When I informed the office worker of this (she was extremely nice) she seemed scared to even tell the bathroom attendant lady anything at all as if this happens all the time. Said she didn't want her to "go off" on us even more. The woman was already extremely confrontational in front of my young daughter which I don't tolerate. So we leave the bathroom to avoid her and go to laundry room to grab our clothes that were finished while we showered & attendant then comes in there slamming all the machine doors around and starting her mess again back and forth! This is unacceptable customer service to paying campers or in any industry at all. Just ridiculous and pure mean. If you're having a bad day just say that or communicate to us in a non-hateful way that we are in your way cleaning. My kid was literally already done showering and I was just using the toilet . We were both brushing our teeth for 2 minutes and getting out anyway when this worker came in there on a rampage. I will be telling everyone to never go here! We had fabulous experiences at 5 other Campgrounds last week with zero complaints.

Beautiful location along the Tennessee River in a clean, safe setting. Not far from the beltline for all your shopping needs. Campground offers propane filling, ice, a good variety of rv supplies, camping accessories and games and souvenirs.

@@@@Update, the City of Decatur chooses to ignore the issues and fails to address the unsanitary bathhouses, property flooding, rude management team and unruly guests and children. Unless you are friends or related, you will be harassed @####

Think twice about staying at the City of Decatur property. Presently have an ongoing issue while staying here and Stephanie (manager), mayor, and other city officials won't discuss the issue.

The pavilion B bath house was cleaned every 10 to 15 days. The children are permitted to be unsupervised causing disruption. They don't enforce dog policy which dogs are unleashed and poop on your lot with no recourse. When it rains the lots flood. Need to be cautious walking at night to the laundry and pavilion due to poor lighting and dangerous pavement and walkways.

If I ever hear back will update more. Ask for all receipts and lodging paperwork and keep with you. They have rules for their friends who reside there but add additional rules not provided for those who are visiting.

Think twice before staying.

PS The rude blonde/gray hair maintenance man told me not to have my dog running loose and I do not have a dog. Upon cutting grass at the site three times a week he would move the picnic table to the drainage area for rain water on our site

Quiet campground close to town, Waterpark up the street opens only on Saturdays. Golf carts allowed and very clean restrooms

Family friendly and quiet, would recommend to anyone who is looking for an outdoorsy getaway. Plenty of walking trails and within walking distance to point mallard water park

I can't say enough good things about this place. We have stayed long term and I am very happy with it. We have stayed in many campgrounds! The only reason "rooms" has 3 stars is because it's not a fancy upscale kind of place. It's perfect for its purpose. Kind helpful people work here!

Trouble Always

Park needed cleaned as animals had trash all over the roadway. Quiet nice place.
