This hotel is fantastic to stay in I come up from RI probably weekly. The property is so safe. Frank the Manager is always willing to help and he's a great guy. Cats are an absolute plus. Greeting me nightly when I come in and every morning when I leave. I will not stay anywhere else but here while I'm in CT

My husband and I booked a room here for a weekend (Connecticut Renaissance Festival) and had an amazing experience. Right off the bat when we arrived, I thought I saw a cat. It turns out it was two kittens and they galloped towards me when I squealed in delight. So. Amazing first impression. The room was amazing and Frank was very helpful and kind. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in the area!

Overall I would say I had an ok stay at The Grand Lake Hotel. The facility appeared generally clean, and we'll lit. The amenities were as expected. Unfortunately the room I stayed it (room 269) smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I would guess that an attempt had been made to clean up the odor but it was unsuccessful. The bed, the furniture and the carpet all smell very strongly. I left the windows open while I was gone and while I was in the room just so I could bear the smell.

Loved staying in August 2024 -- extended initial 2 nights to more than 2 weeks. Beautiful setting on country road & gorgeous lake in rural Lebanon, CT. Manager Frank & staff were helpful & warm & kind. Outstanding! Quiet pleasant guests. Lake access a brief stroll across road to view spectacular sunsets or to canoe/kayak from public preserve. Room was comfy with vintage pink tile bathroom & updated Roku TV, microwave, fridge. Lovely grounds & porch to enjoy. I felt welcome & safe -- important when solo older female traveler. Place is under rehab so ongoing construction but never an issue in living space. Found history & current projects fascinating.

Fabulous place to stay. Very welcoming staff with clean and comfy rooms. Cute mini fridge and microwave in the room. Beautifully set across the street for a lake and very close distance to the Renaissance Festival. Very nice set up for continental breakfast.

Booked this place last minute in August for setup at Connecticut Renaissance festival. Place was retro, cute and full of history! Great place, awesome staff! Frank and his wife go above and beyond for you. Needless to say, we booked eight weekends in a row! And will be coming back next season. This place is a hidden gem and the history is epic! Very close to the faire, shops and gas.

My husband and I had a wonderful one-night stay at Grand Lake Hotel. Besides the great location across from Lake Williams, and the interesting semi-historic hotel grounds which evoke curiosity, we found the service to be excellent and friendly. The owner's son and his cat greeted us in the office, which was an uplifting welcome party. The room was clean & pleasant, with AC already running when we entered. I thought that everything smelled quite nice, even the hallways. The paint and things like grout had been re-done recently so everything looked great even though it's quaintly retro. Comfy beds, refrigerator, microwave, cute little table. The toiletries provided are eco-friendly and of good quality.

Coffee pods in a sweet entrance area with couches and vending machines.

Thank you so much to the owner/staff! We'll be back next time we adventure in the area.

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Lake Hotel numerous times and I must say, the rooms are extremely clean, the property is well lit, and it clearly shows the owners take pride in not only their hotel but their five star quality in employing top of the line employees. One employee I must mention in particularly is Property Manager Frank. On each and every stay I've had at Grand Lakes Fred has gone out of his way to make our stay the absolute best. Frank's high quality customer service skills clearly shows and further he is a great asset to the hotel. Anytime I've needed something or I had a question, Frank was always available and always, always, so helpful. If you want a great hotel to stay at, I highly recommend staying at the Grand Lake Hotel, I'm sure you will be greeted by one of the best, most friendliest, property managers around...FRANK. Five stars all the way.
