I had the pleasure of a two-night stay for a recent work conference. The hotel is conveniently located. There was plenty of parking and the lot was well lit. All of the Front Desk, Food & Beverage, and Housekeeping staff were warm and welcoming. Every meal was excellent! The hotel and guest room were exceptionally clean. The meeting space was perfect for our corporate event. The banquet services and food were excellent as well. I highly recommend this hotel and conference center!

Room was great and staff were excellent and went out of their way for us. We had two reservations for two nights. We took a regular double bed room the first night since I forgot to mention that we needed an ada room and none were available.. My mom had issues getting up off toilet so next morning we asked if anybody was leaving that we could change rooms to an ada room. They had none available again. The lady at the desk (Lindsey)told me wait a minute and went to call someone who was checking in that day to ask if they really needed the ada room since sometimes third party reservations default to Ada reservations. Awesome job getting a room so we could be comfortable. The lady in charge of housekeeping (Edith) kept running out of office to apologize for the room not being ready right away to switch too. Super nice people running this hotel. Christine our waitress in restaurant also went above for us as we walked in at closing not realizing and she was so patient, kind and took care of us. She also brewed us a cup of coffee to go the night before when she was busy with other customers. Wonderful experience!

My stay at Holiday Inn Norwich was okay. The hotel was decent, but it didn’t stand out. While the experience was fine for a short visit, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I’d likely consider other options next time. The staff was polite, but nothing exceptional.

My wife and driven from Pennsylvania all day. I asked the receptionist if he could give us a quiet room so we could
get some rest. He did just that at Rm 502. A very quiet room away from the elevator. Room was really huge and was very nice. Good bathroom and clean. Nice comfortable bed and larger than our request. Comfortable temperatures and very good TV. All in all, nice place to stay.

When we arrived, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. We went right down to the lobby and were assisted with this right away; they were able to relocate us. The rooms do need an update. The walls are paper thin, we could hear the neighbors talking, and when their alarm clock went off at 6am, we could hear it too (and of course they kept having it go off every 5 minutes), so there wasn’t a lot of good quality sleep. It is great to have the free shuttle to Mohegan Sun, and the hotel restaurant and bar is super comfortable and affordable. Overall, a good place to stay, just needs some tlc.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Norwich and went to see Billy Joel at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious, and breakfast the next day was excellent. The most pleasant surprise was the free shuttle service to and from Mohegan Sun. It was easy, quick, and actually fun!!

I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are going to be going to the casino for any reason.

Very friendly and pleasant hotel - we stayed here while at a tournament at Mohegan Sun. The shuttle only runs after 4pm so that was problematic, and we drive an electric car that is not compatible with the Tesla chargers at Mohegan Sun so we needed to drive 10 miles away to get a decent charge (the Big Y has a level 2 charger for 2 hours).

Staff was very friendly and the burgers at the restaurant very good. Rooms were spotless. Water pressure good. Room was quiet in spite of multiple teenage basketball players rooming here for the tournament.

Not enough charging ports for electronics near bed.

The kid behind the counter Danny is extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. He worked wonders for me while I was stressed and being slightly difficult, and did a fantastic job with everything I asked him for. Kid deserves a promotion, raise, and whatever else IHG can provide him. And hopefully the fact that this review is coming from a Platinum Elite member that’s dealt with many IHG hotel staff members means something.
