My husband and I love this place. We come every year and always enjoy our stay. Simply put: there’s no better place to stay in Mystic! Everyone there is super friendly, the rooms and clean, quiet and comfortable, the restaurant—Rocks 21–is great. Many of the rooms have balconies, fireplaces (that you can use; you get complimentary duraflame logs to burn—one per night), jacuzzi tubs (which I LOVE, and totally use!) It’s just a really lovely, low-key, pleasant, super affordable place to stay. It’s our absolute favorite. ❤️

Old school Inn at the top of a hill looking over the harbor. We had a room with a deck and fireplace. Since it was February, we used the latter. Very comfortable bed and roomy. I thought it was more than reasonably priced and we enjoyed a free breakfast as well. I would definitely stay again.

It was a beautiful room with a balcony, a view, and a fireplace too. Check in/out was quick and easy - staff was very nice and informative. There is a great restaurant "Rocks 21" across from the front parking lot. There is a track/tennis court on site and outdoor chairs to enjoy the lovely sights in the warmer weather.

My favorite getaway spot! I have stayed a number of times over the last couple of years and have always found the accommodation very clean and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It is near downtown with lovely water views. It is quite charming and 1 plan to return as often as I can.

The only positive thing about this ‘Inn’ was the bed and the view from our room. The pictures online lie. Make sure to always look at the guests pictures. This property is old and needs a major renovation. The rugs by the bed are bath mats. The cabinets are dirty. The guy at the front was nice but when we asked for more blankets he brought us sheets. I stay in many hotels and this definitely needs some work. The town is too cute and picturesque. I wouldn’t suggest staying here unless you are desperate.

We stayed here for one night for a wedding at the Haley Mansion (behind this property) and our room wasn't ready when we got there (check in is at 3pm) but we were able to check around 2pm once we had lunch in town and walked around a little bit. Our room was 228 which faced the Mystic Harbor. The room itself was good but sadly the bathroom was not updated. It was only for one night. We paid for a room with one bed, balcony and fireplace. We did have a balcony (needs some works as the paint is coming up and boards are loose) but no fireplace. The bed was huge but was springy. The continental breakfast on Saturday morning is just there. Nothing to rave about but helps if you want a little something in your belly. The location is the best part of this!

I liked this place. We checked in later than expected but someone greeted us at the front desk. Our Kjng Room 247 had really comfortable bed and a deck with a great water view. The room had a fireplace but we couldn't get it to work. The room itself was a bit dated but very clean and well maintained. The tub could be updated. I liked that we could park right outside our room. A wedding reception had retired to the bar but we were still able to get a couple of drinks from a nice bartender. Security guard was also very pleasant. I would stay here again.

I rated this 2 out of 5 stars because the room rate did NOT match the experience which is too bad because the property itself has so much potential. ||||Where to begin. We stayed for a weekend to leaf peep and shop/dine in Mystic. Upon arrival, we had lunch at the restaurant and the weather allowed us to sit on the deck with a nice view of the bay. Our server was adorable and cheery. We then checked in to our room (front desk staff not as cheery) and immediately was disappointed. ||||Previous reviews pointed out the rooms were clean but dated and I would say the rooms were downright tired and depressing. Everything in the room was dated, including the 2ftx3ft shag bathmats on each side of the bed. I was wigged out by the fact the "mini fridge" was located under the bathroom sink but that's just me. Our room no where near resembled the photos on the website. The "cable HD flat screen TV" was barely big enough to see from the bed and the level of cable service was most likely the basic package. The fireplace was a nice amenity though and we did use it. ||||The floor to ceiling mirrors surrounding the spa tub was unnerving to say the least and the shower was downright dangerous. If you weren't careful, you could have scalded yourself from the temperature or slipped and suffered great injury from the sloping sides of the tub/shower surround; all in white which proved to be a spacial distortion nightmare. No grab bars either. ||||I suppose after seeing how dated the room was, I should not have been surprised when all weekend, we heard the upstairs guests walking, showering, flushing the toilet. ||||I felt compelled to write this review because I was so sad to have spent all in, just shy of $400 a night and only to be so disappointed in the accommodations.
