Laurie is the BEST hostess, and her Manor, the Torringford Manor B&B, is just fabulous!! If you're staying in Litchfield County while visiting family, or just checking out Torrington, etc., this is a wonderful choice!! Thank you, Laurie!!

If you are traveling to or near Torrington and need a quiet place to stay, Torrington Manor B&B, should be on your list. The owner, Laurie, could not have been a better host. Her historic home is loaded with character and historical reference as well as a loaded library of reading, if you have reading time on your hands.||Our trip was in the winter, so we were unable to enjoy the wrap around porch or enjoy the yard. Our next visit will be planned to take advantage of all the wonders of the property completely.||The breakfast side of B&B was again wonderful. It is a menu less experience where, if you have anything you desire and it is available, Laurie will cook it up. If it’s not in the house today, tomorrow it will be.||This is not a Marriott or Hilton type experience. The rooms are “period correct” not a lot of shiny fixtures, but comfortable, warm in the cold, quiet and welcoming.||Definitely our new destination in Torrington.

Spur of the moment we decided to stay overnight in Torrington. We lucked out and we were able to get in contact with Laurie. We stayed in the Master King suite with a private bathroom. Lovely room, spacious bathroom. Woke up to a great hot breakfast. Laurie made the whole experience enjoyable. We would stay there again!

It is actually the Torringford Manor B&B. We are in the area to visit family. What a beautiful old home! Laurie is a super host; she’s very accommodating and sweet. You need to call for rates that vary per room. There are only 2 rooms with a private bath. We are in the king suite, which is a real treat. We used the window AC unit limitedly, since it’s been cool enough at night to leave a window open. Sitting on the porch has been relaxing with a nice cool breeze. The absolute BEST choice for a place to stay in the Torrington area. We will definitely return!

Excellent experience! Staying here is like staying with family, but without the stress.
Laurie is cheerful and engaging. Her breakfasts take place in a relaxed atmosphere with fluffy scrambled eggs or cheese-filled omelets made to order.
Attentive without being intrusive, she is the perfect host in the hospitality business.
The Torringford Manor B&B is now our first choice of accommodations for our visits to the area.

We stayed here for 2 nights in October during leaf peeping season. We had one of the rooms with a private bath and it was quiet and relaxing. Laurie, the innkeeper, went out of her way to make us feel at home and provide us with all we needed. We wanted to watch a Thursday night football game, and because there were not TV's in the room, she told us to make ourselves comfortable in the main living room and she fixed us popcorn. She does not have a set breakfast menu and will serve you what you want. So accommodating and very personable.

I have stayed at Torringford multiple times when traveling for business and it's been wonderful each time. The beds are comfortable and warm, the rooms are dark and quiet and very clean. Laurie makes you feel like you are staying with a friend or relative. She is attentive and kind, but is also not overbearing or in your face at all. You can come and go with ease. The breakfast is excellent and Laurie is willing to make whatever you want. She even remembers what you like to eat! I highly recommend Torringford Manor!
