This place is a little gem. The food ...kiss to the chef amazing. The atmosphere has a chill low key vibe. Lots of photo ops for your followers. Great outdoor seating, hanging lights and cool breeze. The head chef was personable...greeting and talking with every table. This is a must STOP if you're in Middletown. The outside venue has full service and everything you need. At first impressions the inside seating is small and attached to a hardware store. But turn the corner and you've traveled to a little paradise. This place is dog friendly and total promotes unwinding.

The patio experience is my favorite part. The giant chocolate chip cookie is made for sharing. However, if you don’t share there’s no judgement. The food is pretty good.

I had an amazing time at this restaurant. The ambiance was delightful from the moment I walked in, with a great atmosphere and warm hospitality. I've been to the one in Meriden a few times, so I decided to check this spot in Middletown, and it wasn't as good. The food was salty, and the potatos were too soft and too much mayo. The brisket tasted weird. The drink menu is not much, premix Margaritas, water down so bad it taste like mix and water and ice.
They never have everything on the menu, so don't go there with plans on what you want. Just go with the flow of what they have and try. I'm not sure if I would try again.

This was our first visit, just by chance, but we will surely be back. It’s a small informal place but the service is friendly and the food is phenomenal. I had the brisket, which was out of this world. Others had ribs (meaty and delicious bbq sauce) and fried chicken (boneless breast meat with light breading, juicy). It smells smokey and yummy when you enter, and the food lives up to the aroma. My only small complaint would be that the mashed potatoes were cold…I’m sure they would have rewarmed if I had asked. But in summary, I can heartily recommend Taino. I only wish we lived closer!

It's simply amazing. I ordered the fried chicken, the glaze was sweet, and the chicken was crispy. Paired with some creamy mashed potatoes and some tasty baked beans. I just moved to the area and so far this place takes the cake. Great value on price here as well.

Really good BBQ spot. The food was well seasoned, smoke was on point. The brisket was a tad dry the day we went which could be because of the time of day we stopped in, but otherwise the food was great. Worth a visit!

Outdoor dining next to the kitchen. You get all the wonferful brbq smoke so no worries about bugs. They ran out of the pork ribs and smoked wings. The brisquet is dried so that was a disappointment.
