Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk was wonderful. Breakfast was GREAT! Fabulous location to my event. Negative: Our room smelled musty and wet. The bathroom floor was always sticky.

Breakfast options are OK at best. I'm not a big fan of powered eggs, frozen reheated eggs, or heat and go eggs. I prefer to have real eggs ,which isn't that expensive.

The pool is filthy,no filter at all. All kinds of insects,etc floating in the pool.

Very quiet. Nice sitting area for card games and entertaining. Location is great. Applebee's literally on premises less than minute walk to front door.

Lots of shopping in the area. Variety of food options available.

Rooms are nice. Shower has good pressure.

Horrible hotel experience. We reserved a room with a sleeper sofa, but when we arrived we were given a smaller room for the same price. The room smelled like a wet dog, but we had dinner plans and were unable to complain at the time of check-in. We could not even sit in the upholstered chair because it smelled so bad. The next morning when we told the desk clerk that the room smelled, she indicated that they were aware of that room and we would be compensated. When the manager arrived, she would not even look at us - was unconcerned about the smell of the room and said that the price of the smaller room was not the same - it was $1.00 less. She gave us 2000 points toward another room but that is nothing when it takes 30,000 for a room. We did not even get an apology from her. I left feeling that I had gotten a terrible experience and was not at all treated with respect. It is the last time I will stay at a Hampton Inn even though we used to plan our trips around Hilton properties.

Do not recommend. Had to ask for a different room since the room had an overwhelming awful smell and the bathroom had not been cleaned. Staff was friendly and found us another room, but was not much better. Floors were filthy. We did not enjoy the stay due to how dirty the room was and we could not get out of there fast enough. Was very surprised and disappointed that a Hilton hotel could be that dirty.

Overall a decent experience. Rooms were clean pleasant-smelling almost everything worked. The coffee machine in our room was missing a piece.
Couldn't find any sort of vending area other than the ice machine in a couple of coin-operated washing machines. Like just a soda machine would really improve things

The service simply put was great! The manager who greeted us was very friendly, and quick to offer local dining suggestions for our overnight stay. The room initially was great, no issues. It wasn’t until check-out that my wife and I noticed the drapes above our room’s AC/Heater unit were mold-infested. If we were to have noticed this at check-in, or at any point of our stay, we would’ve requested a room transfer immediately. That said, this was not the case in our situation as we only noticed the issue as we were leaving. Nobody should stay in a room with mold, though especially that of a family with two kids age 7mo & 1yr 7mo. Again, service was great and I can’t emphasize that enough, though I would HIGHLY suggest doing a detailed inspection of your room prior to settling in for the evening.

This Hampton Inn Decatur was just okay in my honest opinion. Although they had availability when we booked our room, our stay overall was not the best. One thing I observed that was not very professional was the fact that the associate working the desk taking her smoke break with someone outside the entrace to the hotel. As I was leaving for the night, I noticed a guest at the front desk with no one around waiting on him. That is when I told the associate smoking outside that she had a guest at the front desk.
In the morning, the breakfast was horrible!! The omelettes were burned as well as the oatmeal. The entire breakfast area was very dirty. It had not been cleaned at all. The waffle mix dispenser was empty also. Overall, my Hampton Inn & Suites breakfasts everywhere we stay always receive an A. This one in Decatur receives an F hands down!! I was not impressed with this Hampton Inn whatsoever!!
