I just stayed here and had a great experience. I don’t know what it was like before, but it had obviously been recently redone because everything in the lobby and in the room appeared to be extremely new and impeccably clean. I was coming after work so I was not able to check in until after midnight, but I called ahead and the staff/owners were very nice and accommodating. I didn’t realize until the morning that I think they gave me the nicest room because it was a corner room so I had windows on two sides and a gorgeous view of the Connecticut River, so I’m grateful for that and wish I could’ve enjoyed that a little longer. My only critique, and it’s more of a preference I guess, is that the air fresheners were very strong so if you are sensitive to that, it could be a problem. I can be, but fortunately I woke up this morning with no headache and I was fine.

Honestly the hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. It was super clean and the staff were great even though we had to check in at 12am. No problems at all. The diner right in front of it is a must go too.

We recently stayed at the Solano Inn. We had booked a dog friendly room. We received a call asking if we would be ok with an apartment for the same price? I asked if it was a nice apartment as we had see pictures of the rooms. We were told yes! Well that is not what we got. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the bed was peeling as well and broken. When we went into the apartment all the windows were open and it was probably 80 degrees or more. Bed was clean, I checked. Pillows were not even clean to sleep on. We went and bought our own. Outside light as well as the railing were unsafe! We would have booked a room elsewhere but area was busy for leaf peeping. We stayed, because we had obligations in the area. We asked several times for these things to be addressed, to no avail. We left a day early and asked for a refund for the last night, they said they would refund it. I have waited a week and have made several calls, but still nothing. The door did not lock properly as well.

The stay was ok. Rooms remodeled recently. Room refrigerator did not work. I didn't make a fuse cause it was a one night stay. The amenities, are concerning. Coffee and utensils were hand assembled. (Sanitation concerns). Building has a few leaks (entry skylights) of which they stated they will repair. A few area's in the room and bath paint peeling.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick night away, and while we had reservations as we arrived, the room was an absolute dream! A real diamond in the rough. We felt like we were in a chic, high end boutique hotel inside the room. The hotel itself is on a main roadway with a great bar, breakfast spot and winery all right there. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time staying there and we intend to stay here every time we are in the area. We attend Goodspeed Opera House often and usually stay at a couple of different hotels. There was no availability when we started looking and found Solano Inn. We were impressed by the pictures of the rooms and the price was excellent! When we walked in we had a friendly greeting by the receptionist. As we walked to our room every thing was clean and it was very quiet. The room was very spacious with a large bed made up with towels and flowers as a design at the foot of the bed. There was plenty of empty space in the room for luggage. When we checked out they wanted to make sure we were satisfied. We told her everything was great and we will be back again.

Customer Service was great! They obviously have done alot of work and reno the rooms. If in the area, would be happy to stay again. Enjoyed our quick stay and the price was right

Room was full of stains. Windows were left open. Shower wasn’t clean and had a dead spider in it. Hair was on towels. Alarm in the lobby going off, extremely loud. Blood on nightstand. Room smelled of cigarettes and moth balls. We left after 15 minutes
