Stayed five nights on business. I don't know when the hotel opened up but the place and room I stayed in was immaculate. I was informed about all of the property amenities and free parking options when I checked in. The staff that I encountered were great to work with especially the lady who took care of the breakfast buffet. I parked on the street out front just because it was also free and by the time I arrived back at the property after work it was the most convientant option. There are many dining option near the property however some close early depending on the time and days of week you are there. This was also the first time I have seen multiple input options for the smart TV with respect to the guests needs. If I am travelling to Decatur again for any reason they will get my business again.

It's a standard hotel by most accounts, clean and modern... but when you check into a hotel you expect, at a bare minimum, to have a bed and a WORKING shower. Our shower didn't turn on twice during our 3-day stay, and we wound up having to bathe with sink water before attending the wedding we traveled here for. The shower also went out on a family member staying in a room one floor below us. The front desk offered only one solution: to "wait a few minutes". After nearly 10-15 mins, we gave up.

So, just be aware that if you book here, there's a strong possibility you'll have to sponge-bath with the sink.

Stopped here on our way to Florida. Entire place was immaculate and the front desk was helpful. Not entirely sure the upcharge for the “city view” room was worth it, but we were in town on the 3rd Friday and the street festival was cool to do and our kids liked watching it out of our window once we returned to our room.

The parking situation is weird. You would think that a brand new building and parking structure would be connected, but they’re not. The elevator is at the opposite end from the hotel.
I would recommend unpacking your car before parking if you’re traveling with a lot of things.

Room was great. What wasn’t great was that they double booked the room and charged me twice. I prepaid through Expedia and when I showed up they charged my card the full amount. I called a few days later and the attendant told me they would leave a note for their general manager. No call back. Called again asking for the general manager and they said she was on jury duty. No callback again. Called back a 3rd time a week later and the attendant told me he didn’t see anything out of the ordinary and hung up on me after getting tired of trying. I’m not exaggerating that fact, he hung up on me without taking a name or number. I had to file a credit card dispute over $200 because these guys double booked and couldn’t get their stuff straight. Facilities are nice just wish the people working would have called back and helped me settle this instead of pretending like it didn’t happen despite having receipts and proof. Unprofessional and bad business practice

First the person working at 9:30 pm needs a personality! No direction about parking where the elevators were or how to go about anything to get into the hotel. I had to ask! I went in parking garage unknowing how or what floor to park on to get into the hotel. I had a room on tthe 4th floor and went there on the elevator , well that was an epic waste of time while dragging my luggage! Went back in the elevator to the first floor and it let out on the street a block behind the hotel. As I’m standing on the street with luggage in hand like a homeless person, so I called the hotel. The person working again was vague with helping me understand how to get to hotel and inside. I finally made it in! I will NEVER stay here again. This location fails at training their staff to inform you on parking and the ins and outs of getting actually in your room! Why would you build a hotel a block over from the garage! Why not have parking underneath? Or a bridge way built to the hotel. This was a disaster of a check in. If you are older I would definitely recommend finding another hotel with an actual parking lot!

We were in a car accident on our way to Decatur, and we were unable to keep our reservation. Even though it was past the free cancellation period, the Decatur Fairfield waived the fee. They were all so polite when we called and so helpful. I cannot say enough about the staff here. If this how they treat you over the phone, I can imagine how wonderful they must be in person.

We were well pleased with this location. Very clean. Love the wider halls on the way to our room. Awesome indoor swimming pool, and exercise room. The staff was pleasant, courteous, and extremely helpful with suggestions around town. I was a bit concerned at first with parking across the street. But, was soon at ease with it. Would definitely stay here again.

Sometimes you take a chance booking a room in an unknown city but this time we struck gold. Clean, modern, new facility with everything you would expect from a Marriott property. Plenty of interesting dining and entertainment options within walking distance in a vibrant city. Locals were friendly and offered plenty of southern hospitality. Free parking. What more do you want?
