This is a Hyderabadi restaurant specialising in South Central Indian cuisine so my wife and I had to try their gosht dum biriyani and it was a treat! It was better than the hotel brand biriyani we had at Hyderabad international airport during a layover there. This place serves your typical North Indian cuisine too and we tried their dal makhni and chicken murgh masala curry with roti. The curries came with a big portion of complementary white rice. Default spicy setting is medium but we ordered extra spicy and that was eye watering level of heat at least for myself. Id probably go medium from now on. The mint lime drink we ordered was so nice, what a nice palate cleanser. Looking fwd to trying their indo chinese selections. Our first Indian restaurant experience in CT after moving here from Long Island, NY and I must say it was a tasty and a pleasant one. They do charge 10% gratuity but the tip suggestions when you get the check range from 1% - 7% so you will never end up double tipping say 25-30% on your card. Restrooms were clean. We did not experience an over the average wait time for our food (as other reviews claim) but that might just be because the restaurant was less busy when we went there. Prices are very reasonable!

I visited this restaurant yesterday, traveling 110 miles round trip with high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to the following reasons:

1. Food Quality: The Mutton haleem served was stale, had a foul odor, and was clearly reheated. When I pointed this out, the waiter dismissed my concern, claiming that it was “supposed to be that way,” as if I didn’t know what haleem should taste like. Later, the owner admitted that the dish was indeed stale and reheated. Selling stale food is not only disrespectful but also a serious health hazard. If an item is not fresh or unavailable, it is better to be transparent rather than serving unsafe food. Have some ethics and morals while running a food business — people’s health should always come first.

2. Service Delay: It took over an hour just to take my order. A family with a child beside my table was visibly frustrated due to the delay. How can you expect customers to wait this long before even placing an order? If your staff cannot handle the service, hire additional help. This level of unprofessionalism shows a lack of regard for your customers’ time.

A restaurant is not just about serving food; it’s about providing a positive and safe dining experience. I strongly urge you to reflect on your choices, prioritize customer health, and improve your service and food quality moving forward.

Absolutely horrible experience! We traveled 60 miles to try this restaurant, expecting top-notch food, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. First, we had to wait for an hour just for them to take our order, despite the place not being overly crowded. And when the food finally arrived, the haleem was stale—sour, off-putting, and completely inedible.

Instead of acknowledging the issue, the staff tried to cover it up, insisting, “It’s supposed to taste this way.” Seriously? Anyone who knows haleem knows it should be rich, fresh, and flavorful—not old, reheated mush.

To say this was a disappointment is an understatement. We went out of our way, spent time and money, only to be served spoiled food and terrible service. No apology, no accountability, just excuses.

If you value your time, money, and stomach, stay far away from this place.

Loved the food! I had the Sunday lunch buffet with family. Was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of dishes in the buffet! They make very authentic south-east Asian food! The ambience is also nice. The service and staff is very good. For all those looking for flavorful authentic Indian or Pakistani food, this is the place. Will visit again and again!

Update (April 2023): I definitely need to update this review because although the food is still very good, the consistency has gone way down and the staff is constantly overworked to the point where wait times are huge and pick up orders are often delayed.

The lack of staff to keep up with the demand not only increases wait times (dining in and taking out) but it has changed the quality of several dishes I used to love. A lot of the "65" dishes used to come out crispy and well fried, but now only have a sauce dredging without the extra work that used to go into a second fry/crisping. There's also been some inconsistencies with the naan, and the lamb shank dish. The lamb used to have a very complex, deep and spicy sauce but lately it has been a much simpler (maybe faster to make?) broth. I don't know exactly, but it's changed for the worse.

I still love this place but until they stop overworking their cooks and staff I'm probably going to be avoiding it.

Excellent and unique compared to many other indian food in the area. One of the few places that actually spices their food properly, so rejoice if you like things hot and spicy. The Gobi Manchurian, Paneer 65, and fish dishes are out of this world good. That sesame naan too, ugh, I can't stop going here.

Update:
Having back multiple times. Have never been disappointed with a dish. The kebab plate is a great way to sample a little of everything and their shish kebabs are fantastic. The pomfret paturi was one of the best and most unique whole fish preparations I've had to date.

Please also try their desserts as the falooda is incredible.

We came here for lunch randomly. Ordered the butter chicken, mutton rogan ghosh and also got chai and faluda at the end. The mutton rogan ghost was really goodand very flavorfull. The butter chicken was good but the not the best i had but still tasty. The faluda at the end was perfect. Definately worth a try.

We were looking for something different to eat today and we ended up stumbling on Flavors if Nawab. I usually go to specific places for Indian food but decided to give this place a try based kn the reviews. It’s a nice hidden gem that has indoor and outdoor seating. Prices to food portion ratio is pretty good. The staff was also friendly and kind.

Now on to the food. We decided to do takeout and boy the food did not disappoint. I love spicy food and my partner enjoys it but not so hot. Well I would say it was a perfect balance for both of us to enjoy to give me my kick of heat and not to burn of their tongue. Food pack with flavor, the naan is delicious, & definitely authentic to the cuisine. I would recommend giving this place a try. Great menu, great options and I will be going back for sure.
